HEEELLLP! :O I'm a First Time Cornsnake Owner with tons of questions!!

It might be. I was told candy but this is corn snake forums so thanks! Her name is candy so they might have told me that instead

When I bought him they told me they have been feeding him 3 fuzzies cause he ate alot. He is still a baby he was the biggest of all the snakes in the cage and they were all born the same day... And he didnt have issues getting the fuzzie down so.. Im not sure if I should go down to pinkies for him now cause he has been eating in the same pattern for a month now....

No offense to the people at Petsmart, but generally they are not reptile experts. Some of the more knowledgeable members may have better input but eating something to large can put undue stress on your snake. So its just best to find the best approach and do that the snake will be happier/healthier for it.

Both Bitsy & Autumn gave great information & links!
I agree with Autumn, that looks like a Snow.

Congrats on the new snake!

What a cute new snake and welcome to the wonderful world of snake ownership. I've had my first snake for three weeks now and it's amazing how fast you fall in love with them. My snake is from Petco and about the size of yours and I'm feeding him a pinky every five days and it's enough to fill him up. I agree with some of the users above in that the fuzzy looks just a tad to big for him. If he was able to eat it and didn't have any reactions, that's good, I would just advise waiting a bit longer to feed him again.

Also I agree with giving the snake a week to settle in. I got so eager about owning a snake I kept bothering him and it took him longer to adjust. I'm just now getting to see his 'personality'. Especially because he was from Petco, crowded around other snakes and being taken care of by someone that knew nothing about snakes. :)
