I think some people think that if you post a lot in a short time after joynign the forum, you don't know a lot about snakes yet, so your posts cannot be anything else than overenthusiastic newbie advice, which they consider not to be of high value.... especially when newbies act like they DO know a lot and reply to any subject, even the more complicated ones...

I know looking at my amount of posts, I could be put in that category too, compared to many others being around here the same time. But I know loads of them are just friendly comments on the photogallery (where I wander around most of the time), which I think posters like...

Exactly, people wouldn't post their pictures if they didn't want comments, and its usually us over enthusiastic mad posters that give them those comments... rather hypocritical  However i really think this thread has been hijacked enough :p my fault i guess :p

I agree totally. The only reason I commented on my "length of time here" was to explain why my post count was so much higher than Jen's. I honestly do not care how many posts someone racks up.

Even So, Terri, you didnt have to start "bi*ching" ,so to speak, at me because i didnt give advice that was up to your standards. I TRIED to help, that should be all that matters... And then to practically call me stupid because im not as experienced as you...jesus, and you are how old? I work with reptiles, not just my own, most of the days out of the week, i see lots of things and help treat lots of things. I was going with what I KNOW and my experience to try and help others, I don't need you bi*chin at me telling me im stupid because im not a vet...oooooooo.

Thanks for your help everyone. Since I changed him back to Aspen and turned his uth down, his scales already look a tiny bit better - certainly no worse. I am meeting my friend later tonight, he got me a buttload of Betadine from the hospital where he works, so I'll start Pig on that and see how it goes.

Again, thank you so much everyone! In 7+ years, my dude's never had a health problem, so I was really freaked!

I simply stated that people were not rude to msfrankie and that I am tired of people always reading stuff like that into things. For example, you said I practically called you stupid. I never said that and I do not appreciate you putting words into my mouth. I even said that "The only real issue I had with your advice is that your directions were impossible to follow logically."

So, I am through hijacking this thread. If you have anything further to say to me, then you can do it through PM or not at all.

msfrankie, I apologize for this getting out of hand.

The injury in the picture looks like a snake I had that burned herself on a heat pad. The way I treated her was with daily neosporin cream and I put her on paper towels. (I didn't have dimmers back then, the snake burrowed under the aspen and I learned my lesson the hard way.) The snake healed OK. It looked ugly and blistery until she shed and then after that she was fine.
