HELP!!! Oviduct

You're the BEST OWNER IN THE UNIVERSE for taking such good care of her. I know many people who would have just euthanized her. Bless you for not taking the cheap way out.

I second that!!

She is lucky to have an owner like you! I wish her a speedy recovery!

I have to say something.....I wish all cornsnake owners, all ANIMAL KEEPERS in general were as caring and good as you. I have a pretty long donotbuyfrom and donotsellto list and I am pretty sure some of my friends do as well. I can onlly speak for myself, but you are the kind of owner I would not hesitate to sell to, and want all my babies to have.

I hope your girl comes out of this and is with you for many more years to come.

Thank you... I couldn't see her suffering any more and had to do something... yeah the money was a big decision of what I did and if I didn't have my mom for her credit card I honestly don't know what I would've done... I've always loved snakes had ball pythons when I was in high school and got them from a bad breeder and they died with no fault of mine... she's part of my family, like a daughter, lol... geeze she had me stressed I hate to see what I'll be like with my daughter when she gets older...lol

I couldn't have gotten through all this without all the great advice from all the loving and caring people on here though... especially you Nanci, thank you so much!!!

She is now moving all along the tank rubbing against the sides and under the paper towel trying to get the skin off... poor girl I wanna help her, lol... I think I will try to feed her tonight for sure she's recovering well so it seems

Look at the sticky in the health section for how to help her get the shed off. I think that would feel pretty good to her right now!

And _thank you_ for getting photos to document this for people to use in the future, too!!!

I hope, after all that, the [stripped out] eggs are fertile, but prepare yourself for them not to be. That is more likely than them hatching. BUT don't give up on them until they are somewhere past the 80 day point, unless they obviously go bad.

I'm glad she's okay, what a horrible first time!
And forgive me, but was the shed skin a postlay shed or did it have something to do with the trauma/anesthesia?

Thank you everyone Buzz seems to be doing better and I'm gonna feed her tonight

The shedding was I think a mix of both, she was starting to go blue but she was not like that before they did the procedure.

Kathy I'm hoping for the best with the eggs but I'm ready for the worse, it will be a great experience if they do hatch my kids are excited and it has encouraged them to learn more about snakes and the process... So far they seem to be doin well a friend of mine is bringing me a couple small mice tonight(he raises his own since he has 20 corn snakes himself) and he wants to look at the eggs and he'll let me know how they look and see if there's veins... I'm just happy momma is doing well and she's not suffering anymore

(I've never been able to successfully candle eggs, and have had plenty of them hatch anyway!)
