Hmmm... do you add new water to the bottom part? If not, I think the water will just get stagnant and gross. What kind of snail is in there again? If it's an apple or mystery snail, it will grow very slowly but eventually will need something larger to live in, or it'll just poison everything with it's waste. If the whole set-up had more water I think it would be great, actually.

Also, I see pennywort and lace java fern in there, both of which should be OK, but might need more light in the future.
 
Yes its an apple snail and I can add water in the top but it has 2 go through the soil first. Also once this whole project is over I plan on taking everything apart and setting up a proper tank. I wouldn't keep anything in a soda bottle long term.
