I tried to get a similar shot last year, but my males wouldn't have anything of be showing of their private parts to goodness knows who. The moment I got the camera out, they retracted. LOL, shy little buggers.

This shot makes me thankful once more for being a HUMAN female. I mean, look at the cat-claw-like barbs along the bottom edge of the head. Now that shivers me timbers. :roflmao:

In tigers its the FEMALE that has the barbs...and can actually sink them in far enough that the male CANNOT pull out...

kinda gives new meaning to the phrase "getting attatched". ok seriously though, it's a great picture. I was joking in my comment on the first page. I've only seen one more hemi in my experience and it was that of a cottonmouth....i think, it could've been a rattlesnake. It was in bio class and quite some time ago. All i can say is that a corn's has no where near the barbs that the other one i saw had. Looked sorta painful. i'm just glad i'm male, period.

JT, he was already in the process of retracting it. There "apperatis" is inverted inside of them. So he was bringing it back in. Hadn't gotten around to starting the retraction of the second one.

You could say it was....well....deflating. LOL.
