Well, I believe I have bred Lavender to every other genetic type I have around here, and best I can tell, there isn't any way to positively tell. But I can normally tell what combo genes they may be simply because I'm used to seeing them. If I found an escapee on the floor, I would have a pretty good idea what project it came from. It seems that every project seems to have it's own particular look about it. Not that the recessive genes are having that much influence as much as the general characteristics of the originating stock itself seems to influence what the later generations will look like AND my experience just seeing them over the years. Much like you can pick out your spouse's face out of a crowd without being able to list exactly what the differences are from everyone else.
