hey everyone... whats your fav movie of all time?

This is gonna sound so childish but most definitely the Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King movies or really anything Disney.

I do like a lot of movies that are a little more mature like Braveheart, Rent, Tristan and Isolde, and Madea's Family Reunion.

Ohh all of the Pirates of the Carribean movies and The Ringer.

Another Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses fan here! :fullauto: Some others, in no particular order, are, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (loooved the book too), V for Vendetta, A Requiem for a Dream, A Clockwork Orange, The Crow, American Beauty, Spirited Away, Donnie Darko, Dazed and Confused, and pretty much every Tim Burton movie.

Star Wars I-VII (although I-II are a little iffy), LOTR trilogy, School of Rock, Wayne's World (GOLDEN. I haven't seen the second one, though), National Treasure, Harry Potter I-IV, Christmas Vacation, Indiana Jones trilogy, etc. etc. are some of the movies I enjoy.

I hemmed and hawed about putting "All Along the Waterfront", but in total, it's not one of my favorites...on the other hand, the cab scene is enough alone to make it onto a favorite list.
OK, either you listened to waaaaaay too much Hendrix as a child, or Elia Kazan has a sequel to this movie entitled, "On The Watchtower". ;)

We've got a lovely remastered DVD of Sunset Blvd - it's incredible. It looks and sounds like it was made yesterday - so CRISPY. Swanson just crackles....rawr. It'll make an old movie lover out of anyone.
So when she's ready for her close-up, Mr. DeMille, it's no longer frightening? :grin01:

Other movies that should be added that come to mind: LA Confidential,
OK, so now it's my Kevin Spacey quadrilogy. Nice catch. :)

And I'm trying to plan a movie night with Serpwidgets and Hurley; they've never seen Dr. Strangelove, and I'm just the dark enough kinda guy to introduce them to it.

But first, I'm going to introduce them to "High Fidelity".

regards,
jazz

Whoa... hard question.... Braveheart for all it's errors is a favorite... Looooooooove Monthy Python & the Holy Grail and the sequel... Spamalot, although it's not yet a movie :) Also love the LOTR movies.. have both copies of all three of them.

The LOTR movies
The Chronicles of Narnia
It's A Wonderful Life
Pride and Prejudice (Ok, I'm a chick, I can throw a chick flick into the mix if I want to)

Darcy....sigh....

A Clockwork Orange
Trainspotting
28 Days Later
Gone With The Wind
Anything Tarantino
Garden State
Casablanca
It's A Wonderful Life
:)

I am very fond of Donnie Darko. I don't really have an absolute favourite, but that's definetly high on the list :)

I told you I didn't like the movie in total very much...not enough to remember the silly title correctly. :grin01:

Still frightening and wonderful. =D

Glad to help...what'd you think of "Swimming with Sharks"?

And I'm trying to plan a movie night with Serpwidgets and Hurley; they've never seen Dr. Strangelove, and I'm just the dark enough kinda guy to introduce them to it.
"Bat Guano, if that really is your name!" Sellers was outstanding...what a trip.

Wow, so many to choose from...
Definately Braveheart, Legends of the Fall, and Usual suspects have to be my 3 top choices...
love Disney's Lady and the Tramp...lol
and of course who can forget Born free and Living free(bought them for my daughters for christmas this year..lol)

You all have very good taste in movies, well except for the lion king kid, but hey I watched those when I was younger too. Speaking of Donnie Darko, that was on the other night. I love that movie. Very well thought out movie.

Hey!! Those movies were spectacular.

Ghost World! Fargo!!

I keep thinking I missed one from this year, but I can't remember what it would have been...

You know the guy who wrote Fight Club, Chuck Palahniuk, is really a twisted writer. I've read almost everything he's written. Take Choke for instance.

Nanci

*******Worst movie in history: Talladega Nights: The Legend Of Ricky Bobby. It has _way_ overtaken End Of Days...

Nope, I didn't get it... but then I've never gotten into obscenity for obscenity's sake. Definitely not one that I would have let my 14 yr old daughter watch, that's for sure.
