Just thought I'd Introduce myself.

Have just the other day got my first ever snake. A 6 month old (roughly) Corn snake. We named him maximus decimus meridius. Dont know why just for a bit of fun I guess.

He is not very active at the moment because he is in the process of shedding. But im sure once he starts becomming more active then I will have an insane amount of questions :grin01:

I basically came to the forums for advice and to learn about the snake itself and there is only so many books you can read for advice. I like to hear other owners experiences of caring for the specific species instead of the humdrum that books seem to offer.

Well that's me done for now I think. Hope you all have a great day :D

Welcome. What kind of corn is it?

I don't know at the moment because its in the middle of shedding. The bloke from the reptile shop did say but I was so overloaded with information its pretty difficult to remember. I will find out once it is shed and post some snaps :)

Thanks for all responses, it's much appreciated to know there are people out there who will kindly give advice. :)

Welcome to the Forum! I like the name you gave your snake, very original. I hope you find thid Forum to be very helpfull to you. If you have any questions dont be afraid to ask. Oh, and if you show us a picture of your corn snake, we might be able to help you find out what morph it is.

He shed last night, (about bloomin time have been itching to handle him :p ) and it was a full shed completely intact which is also a good sign. So will take some pictures before his feed, because he was due on saturday but beings though he was about to shed the man in the reptile shop said to just leave it until he shed.

But now he is very active and things are looking good. :D

he's still a little anxious so the pics arent great but any help on morph? is he just totally normal? we love him whatever!)

Yea I was meant to type 1 year, 6 months, if theres going to be a typo make sure its something quite important :shrugs:  :D

To Clarify:
He is around 18 months old, and is just over 3ft at the moment.

I will edit previous post :p
