hi and please help !!!!!

Keep up the hope. It just took my nagini what seemed like forever to accept a meal. But i woke up this morning and noticed she'd drastically changed last night, started to look too thin, and she was squeezing my fingers a whole lot harder than she has this last week. So i stuck her in a box with a thawed pinky and gave her some privacy while i took a shower, when i came back and checked on her she'd happily gobbled the meal down and it now hiding in her favorite hide happily. =]

Thats good news :)

Reading other threads dosen't seem like a snake not eating for 2 weeks is trhat bad a thing anyway so ill try not to worry to much :D

i double checked my dates... idk how a whole week slipped by me... just felt like 2 weeks to me... its actually been since the 17th since she last ate, with the new roomies and going blue and shedding... she'd had a rather healthy sized meal that day, if not just a bit too big. So shes gone 3 weeks? Either way, shes happily hiding with her meal in her belly, and doesnt have little kids pestering her. Im just hoping she keeps it down. =]

Good luck with the little one. Hopefully he eats in the next week too. Just keep an eye on him and his shape. When he starts to look more triangle than round, you can bet your bottom that he'll hopefully eat with some slight persuasion, if not none.

Thanks for the advice, ill leave her for a couple of days then as i said she is in a new bigger viv as well.

Hopefully all will be ok, ill get my girl freind to take a pic of her and ill post it up

First off, we don't care about your snake. Got any pictures of your girl friend??

"My snake is not eating" is the most common thing for new snake owners to worry about. Let me give you a list of things to think about. Snakes love to eat and will eat when they feel like it. But they are not like mammals and really don’t need to eat much or often to survive. So first off, don’t worry if it goes a week or two or three or four. It is not desirable but it is not a worry either.

Create an environment where your snake is comfortable and feels safe. Make sure your snake has a good size enclosure (like yours). Make sure he has a heat gradient with one end of the cage around 85* and the other end around 78*. Make sure you have good places for him to hide. If your snake isn’t using the hides you have given him it’s because he doesn’t like them. Try something else. Put a piece of paper on the floor, he will crawl under it. Better than a $10.00 wooden cave from Pet Smart. Make sure he has a water bowl big enough for him to crawl into. (He’ll shed better next time) Make sure he has quiet time, just to be by himself. Don’t keep him in a high traffic area of your home. Don’t play with him too much. It’s not a puppy. They really don’t like your attention even though you really want him to.

Go through that checklist. When you have done all of that your snake should have every reason to want to eat. Now you have to figure out what he is in the mood for. The idea of the small plastic tub is to put him in a safe quiet environment where he will come into constant contact with the mouse. It won’t hurt to leave him in there over night. If that doesn’t work, wait a few days and try something else. You mentioned braining, also try tuna juice or chicken soup. Just a few drops to give him a new smell. Try washing the mouse with soap and water, new smell. Try holding the mouse by the tail and make it do the Dance of the Zombie in front of the snake.

Most of all give the snake time and privacy. He will eat.

Well i left her alone for a couple of days, and thought tonight ill give her another go. So i waggled a mouse around in her viv and she took it and went into a bit of a frenzy. So she is now at last nicely full and i now know not to panic so quick :D

Could someone please pass Wade the bromide (again)? :)

Good luck with the feeding fidds, keep us posted.
