Hide and "Peek"

Does anyone like to "play" hide and seek with their corn snakes??
I like to not pay attention to the tank, then come back and try to find his new hiding spot and where he's peeking out!
They are experts of the "peek"!!

I don't do it when there in the tank but my boy likes to go under my blankets when I let him out. And when he gets under one he will poke his head out and look at me until I point at him and ask "what are you doing". Then he puts his head back under the blankets and we repeat the process in the same place XD

And so does my python:

Haha that's awesome Eatmice!
I guess for me since my snake has only been 4 days with me, I haven't figured out his spots yet and haven't got time outside his viv. Should be an interesting weekend with him out for the first time + first feeding!

My snakes also like to get their body comfy in a hide and then stick their head out to see what's going on. We also call it peeking. ;)

So cute!
My corn Sydney likes to stick her neck straight out in the air to scope the place out (not to be confused with stargazing, as her head isn't pointed directly up, and she looks around- she's also in a very tall tank) and when someone enters the room she instantly stops!

My ball python Beau plays this game a LOT. If I put my face up to his glass he inches closer. Then when I move my face away, he comes closer still. We do this back and forth until both of us are nose-to-nose on the glass.

Haha, I play hide and peek with my snakes all the time; they generally escape into my shirt, and I lightly touch their nose when they peek out of my collar or sleeve. :p Never played it with 'em in their cage, though. I'll have to try that.

My boa constrictor does it a LOT too. And she'll freeze for like, ever when she's spotted. Either that or she's just narcoleptic lol. But really, some of the positions a snake will freeze in are crazy.

We do the hide and peek game with Chara, he likes to peek around things and out the top of the log. It is really cute when he periscopes out the top and puts his head at an angle and looks back at you.

Agreed Nythain! Here's one for ya:

Stayed like that for at least a minute or two. I just stood and watched to make sure she could actually get down!

That's Henry :)

My other snake Snow tends to watch me a lot at night but I don't have a picture.

I love trying to find Alberto when he is buried. Sometimes I rustle the aspen a bit and his head will pop up somewhere. Sucks because he was fed last night and when he eats, he burrows for at least two days and I leave him alone until he is out and has pooped--so for now, no hide and "peek". I have some good photos of him peeking out on my phone, will have to post them.
