Hognose in Alaska!

I wanted a female simply because they usually get bigger than the males.
And I picked a male because I knew it should stay smaller! There's a perfect snake out there for everyone!

AllAlaskan- my boys try to boast on our snake. They tell their friends that even though he's so small, he's mildly venomous! In the last 14 months, we've been hissed at once. He likes to dig at my fingers with his snout though...

By AllAlaskan do you mean me? I'm pretty sure he hasn't responded to this thread.

I just don't want some parent freaking out that their kid is going to die in my class because of these horrible, mean snakes. People do and think stupid things, and have no idea about the difference between rear fang venomous and a cobra, much less have an idea what venomous vrs. poisonous means. And students do the craziest things, there is no way I'm having an unlocked snake is the classroom, ever! I need to find some nice vivs with good locks.

Yep, I forgot who I was posting to, and I can't edit! My own kids know they can't get the snakes out without asking, or me being there. They have two dogs, a cat and a gecko to play with when I'm not around.

Hognose snakes are really cool onetime I came close having one a male but had my mind on corn snakes but he was awesome very tame. :)

I won't have any tiny hatchlings in my classroom, so sliding doors shouldn't be too much of an issue. Showcase does have some gorgeous cages.

Showcase doesn't ship to Alaska :(. Its sure frustrating trying to ship anything quality here. Earlier today I was reading a site that had the statement that they only ship to the 48 states of America. Made me scratch my head, did Alaska and Hawaii decide to not be states anymore?
