Visually they are normal and anery scaleless. Kira carries one copy (het/heterozygous) of the genes for anery, amel, and scaleless, and has a chance (often labeled ph/phet/poss. het) to possibly carry lavender. Tinley, on the other hand, carries both copies (homo/homozygous) of anery and scaleless, and is het for amel, possibly het lavender.
Lavender scaleless corns don't actually look anything like lavenders, oddly enough. They're orange! This tells us that the lavender gene probably does something in the upper dermal layers that causes us to see pale grey, purple, and faint pinks.
Oh wow well the pale grey and purple is what I really love!! But I never thought I would like the look of the scaleless but I honestly love it!! They both are so gorgeous!! I wish I could see one up close, I'm sure they look even cooler!!
So I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something? I have a chance to take in a supposed snow corn snake as a rescue that is around 10 years old and when he was found the owner did not have any kind of heat source for him at all for god knows how long!! The shelter said that he was super skinny when they found him but he is eating well now!! Do you think it would be a bad idea? I mean he comes with everything except the heating source that he didn't have! I'm just wondering if that would affect him health wise I don't want to take him in and fall in love and then have him die right away yah know
