How do YOU brumate?

One other question: When feeding before brumation; how often do you feed? A regular 7 day schedule? And do you give extra food at those feeding times?

I feed regularly. If I have a female who's around 225 or 250 and I'm trying to get her up to size, I might feed her every 5 days. But other than that everything is normal.

I'm glad this came up...I posted a thread and didn't get any response.

My situation is trying to figure out HOW to brumate. I recently built a shed on my property that is pretty large (about 150 sq ft). I was thinking of putting the snakes in there....but the building is currently unheated. I believe last year the outside temps didn't get lower than maybe high 20s...and obviously inside would be warmer. Would you guys suggest maybe including a "freeze guard" type heater that cuts on around 45...just to make SURE they didn't freeze? Any thoughts?
