How Whirlpool got his new name

Wow! I can't believe he survived all that...and the bleach? Didn't have any effect on his skin?
poor little guy! you should really change his name to either Houdini or Lucky!
:)

The only effect on his skin was where the agitator cut him--he has a small scar. He didn't have any name before--I call him Whirlpool b/c that is the brand of washer I have.

Amazing!! And we worry so much about hurting them, or if we drop them 12"! They are tougher than we give them credit for!

Indeed, that's really amazing! Glad to here he's doing okay.
I would suspect snakes to not be very effect by bleach contact because of their hard water resistant skin. Their eyes also have hard scales that would protect them unlike our always wet eyes. I'd be more worried about lung damage from bleach then skin damage. I am just guessing though.

my 26 inch corn falls from the top of his 5 foot terrarium on a regular basis, sometimes catches a vine on the way down. he climbs where he shouldnt and looses grip.

glad to hear your snake is ok, im surprised that he made it through that

That's hardcore.
My sister-in-law's cat had a litter of kittens in the washer, and I can tell you they didn't fare NEARLY as well.
