Hubby found a Cornsnake in the basement...

TripleMoonsExotic

I <3 Stripes!
Wasn't one of mine though. :shrugs: I don't have any plain Jane Amel males here, so I have no idea where he came from. Doesn't look in too bad shape...Maybe two years old? I set him up in quarantine and gave him some water. We'll see if he eats in a few days. ;)

Maybe he "ran away from home" because he heard I have the best rodents in town? :p

I'll have to get pictures...

what's up with people finding snakes everywhere....boas in sofas...corns in basements. I think I need to search my house

We had a wild yellow ratsnake get in our house a while back. I still haven't figured out how he got in here and past all our furry pets.
They do have a way of showing up in the strangest places!

What's funny is in November or December Chris had found shed skin in the basement and he accused me of losing a snake! :p Finding this guy in the proves that I really didn't lose a snake. We just had a mystery snake in the basement!

LOL. I'm NEVER this lucky...

Okay, well almost never. Congrats on the new find??? Absolutely kewl! Would love to see pics!

At least he ended up in your basement! I could never be so lucky! He was lucky too, instead of ending up in some snake haters house.

Huh, a mystery snake in the basement--maybe he hatched out of a clutch when you weren't looking, and escaped as a teeny baby. That would be a long shot though, but kind of cool however he made it to your basement!

Maybe I need to crawl around under the house, I might find me a blood red female..

Regards. Tim of T and J

Wow, wonder where he came from. Do you think he was a pet or wild?

At least he proved your husband wrong and cleared your name, lol.

That is insane these things never happen to me!! Maybe he'ss have some cool mystery gene as well with your luck, lol!!

I'd bank on him being someones runaway pet before thinking I found an even tempered, wild Amel in my basement. ;)

Haven't you heard?? Word on the streets is you're running a little snake brothel over there and all the boys are looking for some hot Stripes action.:dgrin:

WOW!! I almost wonder if someone new you had snakes and planted it in your house, knowing you would find it. With the weather we are having now, it's not very likely that it just slithered in there, through the snow.

My amel, Star! A kid, showed up at my front door, pillow case in hand and handed it to me. I have never met this kid prior, I don't advertise regarding my snakes, my address isn't on my website and I don't know how he found me. All he told me was that he knew I had snakes and if I didn't take her, he was going to let her go in the wild. He can't keep her anymore! I asked him about the snake and he told me that he didn't know the sex and that she will be five this summer. He handed me the bag and left.

Good luck and good find!

Wayne

We haven't had any snow that actually laid, so that's not a worry. ;) If the snake skin he found in the basement is from this snake, he's been in here for 3-4 months at least.
