humidity help!!

do you have a screen top????
And what type of gauge are you using to read that humidity.
It could be off by ALOT!! It known to happen.
 
i had alot of humidity in my tank with a wooden lid with drilled holes and a bulb, it was at 70% highest, but i put a nice piece of vine (suppose any fake plants will do) round the water bowl away from the heat, and it seems to catch it all before it starts to circulate cuz my humidity is sittin at between 45-50%.

Give it a try, it worked for me.
