I'm not reading the whole thread or coming back to read responses. I just thought I'd share my knowlege, having read the entire old testament front to back.

God does in fact say that reptiles are unclean. Lizards, snakes, anything reptillian. He also says not to eat them (and I wouldn't) but remember, this is the old testament. He also said that menstruating women were unclean. :shrugs:

This info is from a standard Gideon bible I found in the library dumpster. :shrugs:

I'm a devout Christian, but I'm not willing to force myself to sit through an unenjoyable mortal life of 60+ years, nomatter how long my afterlife is. :shrugs: I'd rather have a short and happy life than a long and boring one. I'm gay, I love reptiles, and I work on Sundays. :shrugs: That doesn't mean I don't love God.

Some people are really extreme like that.. My mother in law also thinks that snakes are the devil. She told my youngest daughter that she better not hold the snake, and that the snake will get out and go up her butt in the middle of the night.. And the funniest thing is she seems ok about us having snakes now that she knows that you can make some money off of them.. Now tell me what seems more devilish..
