Hey! At least I waved and said hi!

We definitely don't have THOSE kind of issues
I know... well, I don't know, but... Umm... No woman scorn, please?... :sidestep:

You should have seen the look I got when I asked for a new rack for Christmas. Then I made the mistake of asking for a pair of Balls to go with it. Needless to say, I think my family won't even want to get me a lump of coal next year.

*Mental note... I'm really not that funny*

Ah, BP humor. I almost snorted Coke out my nose the day I saw a post on KS.com that said "Will trade for balls." Gotta love it!

"LOL! I am not the type to carry a child. It's way too much like "Alien Resurrection" to me."

OMG! Iced tea through my nose on that one! Had to read it to hubby, haha! What a mental image that brings up!

I hope David does come to Daytona. I would like to meet him in person. If we have our usual corn snake supper club, he will get to meet lots of us in person.

I've been waiting for that all night! Where have you been??

David, I have said so in the past but it was of little use. All I can do is say it again and hope it means something new to you.

I for one never called you any names out of anger- I have protected you several times, and at times you took the liberty to have a go at me, I simply stated some of your faults, as I see them.

I think you are a very bright kid, with a lot of potential. That said, I also think you are at times very arrogant, believing you have earned a guru like status because you chose to keep some ratsnakes other people are less interested in.... doing things like telling new keepers to send you PM's rather listen to others here for instance, even if you didn't mean to, sends a very strong message.

Also, only a child needs/demands a constant flow of feedback about every little step he makes- still water runs deep. If you are as confident as you claim to be in your abilities, stop posting absurd threads of "I think about getting a green anaconda" type. Some people will approve, others will not, but by not giving stage and simply showing that you decide things by yourself based on your own established sense of judgment- you will emit a very different impression.

You are not a "victim", as far as I know, Jesus is not your middle-name. If anything, you are dealing with the consequences of your attitude, and instead of blaming the whole world for it... I think it's about time you take some of that responsibility on yourself.

Being young does guarantee impulsiveness at times, and a sense of over-confidence... but it's not an excuse to be rude, or patronizing, as you have done.

Part of being an adult is to realize that none of us is perfect, and we all have things to work on. Blaming the whole world for how we are being treated is childish... and I know at least one significant man in my life who still does... and it is sad, because it really leads to quite a horrid existence... and I say that with a lot of remorse, for that man is my father.

In this thread for instance, you could have done without the rudeness, and not reply every time you repped someone- just do it and hush.
A person who declares every hiccup is simply unsure of himself- and will get negative comments about it.

Just my two cents, do with it as you will. I guess I have tried to reply in this thread as I have done in several others of your making because I sincerely think you have a lot of potential... it's not very easy for me to convey everything like this in a second language... granted, I use English all the time, but it is more of an effort than speaking Hebrew- I have done so in the hopes that you will actually make use of it.

I am far from being perfect, God knows, and I do too- and I own up to my faults... I hope you will do the same.

Cheers,

Oren.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Kokopelli again.

Oren, have I told you that I loved you?

Let me start by saying this would never have happened if Nancy had not thought Alan was messing with me when she must have missed the thread where I met Alan and we played with my Radiata and ran around at a show. Now last night I called Danielle who wanted to be updated. So I told her what had happened (Last night was quite interesting!) and we talked for maybe 2 hours. And she said "Your 16 and held to higher standards than the adults, you have a nice collection of well cared for animals"

Now, Oren sure I like rare animals....sue me! I plan on getting 2 Asian Rats (Cave dweller and Albino radiata) and a giant hognose thingy. Both are advanced to intermediate level animals. I can care for them and I am sure there will be people that flock to a picture thread or another thread where I ask a question and we will get this same little fun thread! Do I want that NO! People say I do they are wrong nothing more nothing less like an incorrect answer on a test. No half credit! :p
I believe it was Tara or lauren that said Wade kept me on a high horse of something like that well it does feel good to have people in your corner you you are being unjustly beaten. People came and posted about me growing up on this thread it does not make sense! I have a damn shiny! I am growing up like a normal child just with reptiles! I have many people in my corner here, Danielle, Wade, Alan, Hallie, and many others that simply don't want to deal with the crap but they tell me that all the poking at is crap. One member calls me a hoarder.....doesn't that make everyone with an equal or greater number of animals a hoarder? Think about these things and how it affects those that are being slammed. I know you guys would react just like me if you were slammed like that

David, Oren gave you some good advise, I hope your will read and think about it. Don't just blow it off as an unfair attack.

David, the fact that you like rare ratsnakes is fine and no one on this site has any problem with it. The fact that you think that this choice makes you superior to others... that's where the issue stems from. I don't know if you are even aware of it... but every sentence people say can convey a whole lot of sub-text, sometimes more than the original message.
Your choice of words and behavior reflect horribly on you, you also do not take responsibility for your actions, you simply blame everyone else for the current state of affairs and retreat to the "martyr" routine.

Growing up is not something only you are going through, we all have, some of us are not much older than you- but we handle ourselves quite differently.

You really can't declare yourself changed and than repeat the same behavior over and over again.

To put things in perspective for you- at your age I dealt with a broken home, and living pretty much on my own cause my father worked up north and arrived at the house at hours which I was usually already asleep. When I was 18, that's two years older than you mate, I carried a weapon and defended my country in the Gaza strip- training on tanks and being fired upon.
This doesn't in any way make me better than you, but it does come to show you that behaving in the manner you do is not something that should become acceptable nor is it the norm- youth has it's faults and people here are pretty darn aware of it, through experience, and some are raising kids at your age too.

Do what you will, God knows I have done my best to explain to you things that may spark some measure of understanding in you... but I can't nor am I inclined to shoving them down your throat. My earlier post got like 5-6 repps... I am quite sad that this post of mine is the one most sympathized by people here... but it should serve as a rather harsh wakeup call mate.

Nothing but prosperity to you David, I really mean that.

Oren.

Just to clarify, I liked you original post, I don't like the reason it had to be said and in the thread it is in
