From looking at the pics people were posting of their pregnant snakes, I think unfortunately mine is definitely pregnant. She's heavier on her second half and bulgy. I'm really worried, because I've had several people giving advice saying she might not even be able to pass the eggs and might die since she is only a little over a year. Is there anything I can do to help her? I don't want to lose her, she's my mother's day present from last year!!!! I have put her in her own cage with two hides, one is a cave, lots of aspen bedding on some newspaper. I fed them tonight and she had no interest, I've NEVER had a problem feeding her. Both my snakes are good healty eaters (piggies). If she does pass the eggs, is there anyway to tell if they are viable? I would not want to throw out good eggs. I would do everything I could to help them hatch.
 
I won't be able to say much for the actual care of the eggs, but the best thing you can do is try to give her some comforting places to hide, because if she is indeed gravid she is going to be on the look out for a place like that. A plastic tupperware and some moss would be good.

After this it would be most advisable for you to keep all of your snakes seperate.
 
Gravid females usually go off their food before they lay, so that's not unusual.

Give her a laying box - as above, a plastic tub filled with a damp medium. If you can't get sphagnum moss, try to find vermiculite or perlite at a gardening store. Damp paper towel will do at a pinch.

As for the female, all you can do is leave her in peace and hope.

Make sure you can sell any hatchlings where you live, before you decide to incubate the eggs.
