I'm sorry I'm confused, do you have a UTH, I think I see it on the left? If that is a UTH, you don't need a heat light. and the temps need top be taken where the snake is or could go under substrate over the UTH. My guess would be with that light shining on thermometer it is failry inaccaurate, the temp.

oh.. i used it.. but it kept the temp. at 70 for some reason.. so its off.. =D

sooo... where exactly should i put it?

One more question why don't you have the heat pad under the tank? Ideally you want the temp on top of UTH under the bedding, where the snake could put his belly. Since you have the stick on therms I would put it on top of bedding. Although a probe therm is fairly inexpensvie at WalMart.

OK sorry didn't see your second post. Is that a heat light or a UV? As the latter could harm your snakes eyes if it's an albino.

im still so new at this stuff.. sorry if its all dumb questions.. =/

but.. Susang.. i have no idea what you mean.. =0

This is just my personal veiw, but id turn the lamp off, turn your UTH back on. By looking at your set up can only see a analog thermometer and hydro. Id get rid of these and get digital. You then place the probe from the thermostat into the substrait, somewere near the middle of the UTH.

ohhh.. soo.. is there any way i can just be good without buying anything else?

is the UTH in the correct spot?

its under almost half the tank

O.K. the first picture shows the probe, place this into the sub. were your heatmat is situated. Second picture shows the thermostat, this keeps the temp. at constant. Third pic. shows the thermometer, tells you the temp. And final pic is hydrometer, shows te humidity.
