Indigo is HERE!!

How pretty! Indigos are rear-fanged though, aren't they? Also, no need to buy an expensive hide fromt he reptile store! An empty cereal box would probably make a nice hide for him, cut in half if it fits better.

No fangs, no venom, just strong jaws and a strong feeding response. I'm man enough to admit he scares me a little when he's on, lol. When I fed him I'd give him a mouse by tongs, take him out of his cage with his mouth full and busy, clean his cage and then get a second mouse in his mouth to go back in the cage.
When his mouth is busy he won't let go, so it makes it really easy that way.
Honestly, he's not that scary, it's so over the top when he eats it always kind of makes me laugh.

One more for now. I need to borrow a better camera...

First meal, down the hatch! He took two big fat weanling mice. I was expecting more excitement, but he was pretty mellow for that too. ;) I must say though, I DEFINITELY don't want to join the drymarchon bite club!! ^_^

I'm glad he was so good for you! How do you feed him? I usually would find that while I was feeding the rest of the snakes, he'd strike at me through the bin several more times.
Did he pop any mice for ya?

Eeew, I'm thankful to say that neither mouse popped! I put him in an opaque bin with the two mice and just waited. Once he was halfway done with mouse two, I put him back in his bin.
