Introducing Lilith!

Crazy Snake Lady Trainee
So I thought I'd give this posting pictures thing a try.

Please excuse the quality of the picture. We weren't going for detail or anything, just proof of the existence of our newest friend. Also, she'd only been here a couple of hours and we didn't want to traumatize her with flashes, etc.

She does love her teabox hide, though she's got a couple more places. This is home, though.

She's awesome!!! Congrats.

Just to make her more comfortable, might I suggest wadding up some paper towels and placing them in the hide too? That way she can feel as if she's got some "extra cover" while in the hide. I've noticed (and I think it has been written) that snakes like nice "cramped" spaces.

That's a good point. She's got paper towel outside the hide and we just got some aspen so we'll be replacing that so she can burrow in it. Still think she needs towels in the hide as well?

IMHO, it couldn't hurt to have any aspen/towel inside the hide. It could only make your little one feel more secure.

I have no idea whether this pic will make it with the server move or not, but since I have it, I'll post it.

We did, fwiw, put some aspen in her teabox, just in the corner. I'm not sure she cares much one way or the other, but it's there, just in case.

This was just before her second feeding with us, which would explain the 'stop taking pictures and FEED ME' look, I think. :)

So it's been a while since I've done any updates on her, but I was a little worried about the weight on Salome (the charcoal gal I got at the Sac Expo a couple weeks ago) and of course that made me paranoid.

So today I got a few pictures of Lilith one year (and change) later. I think she looks pretty good. We'll weigh her tomorrow when she's fed.

Wow! She is absolutely gorgeous. I saw her baby pictures, sooooo cute. She's grown into a fine looking lady. Congrats!

A little more than two years later, and Lilith is all grown up. I wanted to get some better pictures of her today, and she was... sort of cooperative. Stick and all. :)
