Is ANYTHING selling?

I'm surprised at the low prices people aren't paying for corns lately. I've seen quite a few killer deals go unclaimed in the last few weeks.

Another week that I've sold corns, another week that I've bought more. If you have what I am looking for even at a high price, I will buy it. Seems customers will too. A "deal" on an animal with mutations that don't fit my breeding plans won't get a second look, almost no matter what the price. It's a tough economy, but the sky isn't falling.

Right- if it's not an animal that will fit in, I won't even take it for free. If it's genes I need, then I'm more than happy to pay a fair price, not rock-bottom crazy slashed prices.

I only had one clutch, but I had it sold (okay, only to the local pet store) before I even bred the pair this year...and that was mostly to have the experience and share it with my daughter (who wants to be a zoologist, so I'm trying to expose her to as many animal-related experiences possible)

I sold my final 2011 yesterday, Fuego the hypo fire het anery stripe. I'm so happy that he is going to a great home! He was beginning to stick on me!! I think, if you are patient, the right owner comes along.

It's probably a combination of things. My biggest (lol even I cant read that with a straight face) sellers are the Tequila Sunrise stuff...and I didn't breed them this year. I've had nice low/medium end stuff floating around with very little bites. Pugsley just got a great deal on a beautiful bloodred male tho ;) and I've had some interest in the adult opal male.

Been a tough market; just have to hunker down if you can and ride it out. It's like everything else, it's rides the wave up and down :)

Weda, I live in a mobile home, and have all the adults housed in the living room and all the hatchlings in my bedroom! 81 snakes at last count! You just have to like having racks as decor!

I've sold most of my hatchlings. I have three of the avalanche clutch left, but don't really advertise- and they aren't on my website! I don't even have the bloodred clutch with the ton of hets advertised yet. There are I think five Miamis left- and, again, if I actually advertised them they'd be gone in a second! They are the SWEETEST babies ever. Oh- I have a really pretty plasma baby left- but she is pure evil!!

I thought you still had one Avalanche on your site. It tempted me like CRAZY for the longest time.

Um, okay, it deleted what I wrote. Something something people are buying more locally around here and I forget.

I have a hypo avalanche 100% het stripe M and a hypo avalanche stripe F, 2012s. The female is not on my site yet- a friend was kind of interested in her- but hasn't commited, so... She's a nice girl!!

I forgot to mention, knowing your collection, you're going to have to put up a super force field to resist what I hatch next year!! ;-)

Agreed. No matter the price, space constraints and higher priority for what exactly you most want in the space you have is at least the biggest factors for us and I would imagine most others. I've seen some great deals on some morphs or species that I'm a bit tempted on but don't have space for all of them and have other things we want more, so pass on them. I don't mind paying a bit more for the exact animal I want, though a deal is always nice! ;-)

I wish I could buy every snake that I fell in love with, but I live in an attic right now and need to save up for some things first.

Knowing this, I shall start saving now!! :grin01:
