Is this a tessera?

Yes I was just verifying that he isn't homozygous motley but is instead motley/stripe. If he were motley/stripe tessera then I really wouldn't expect those blotches to connect to the side pattern so far before the vent.

He's a gorgeous snake and I am still trying to decide if I'd like to get him. Whatever he is, he's beautiful! I've been looking at aneries, as it's a morph color I don't have yet (having 2 amel, a classic, and a snow) just to round everything else. And I love the motley look :)

I appreciate everyone's opinions on him, it looks like it's a confusing matter all around!

Jenn, you called keeper sibling 'stripe.' Are you sure he si a genetic stripe? He looks like either a Tessera stripe to me, or motley pinstripe. Because of the break at the neck and the thinness of the central stripe.

In regards to my keeper, I'm pretty sure he's not a pinstripe motley. (I've had his dad a long time and he has sired several clutches and never produced a pinstripe motley) And every stripe his dad has ever produced has been a vanishing pattern, so no I don't think he's a stripe.
He's probably a tessera stripe, but I am waiting on breeding trials.

Jen, I am going to message you in a bit about him :) checking my finances for this month's bills and seeing what equipment I need to get to house him. (So many snake tanks in my bedroom O_O)
