You mean so that you don't see it? No, but you can hide USERS. Click on User CP-->Edit Ignore List--->add user's name. You'll still get notices when that person posts to a subscribed thread, though. If you want to stop getting "new post" emails, unsubscribe to the thread. You do that by looking at your list of subscribed threads on your user panel.

Nobody would know about it except you, so don't feel bad about it. :) PLUS, you can always just unsubscribe from a single thread. THEN, you won't get notices, and you'll only know what has been said if you click on the link on purpose. Trust me, almost everyone here gets so they just ignore a thread when they get fed up with it.....lol.
 
I know a little how you feel... there's this add constantly in the forums that features horribly starved dogs to try to get people to shop their site (which is not even a dedicated shelter site). :mad: It's really pissing me off... need to update addblock.
