Korben's Progression

I love seeing the progression threads of the other corns and I decided to share Korben's progression. I'm so proud of him. He's doing very well with adjusting... He's been a very hungry boy from the start. I've yet to have any difficulties with him where food is concerned. He had his first shed (with me) on 9/2/2012. I introduced him in the introductions section when I introduced myself but his name is Korben Dallas. My favorite movie is The Fifth Element :grin01: So far he's living up to the name... very adventurous and not too shy.

So without further adieu....

Here's Korben in the deli cup right after unboxing.

Here's Korben chilling out in one of the hanging plants (which he LOVES to do) taken on 8/14/2012

Here are the day and night views of his tank (I may be sad when he gets too big for all of it... I think it's so pretty currently) taken 9/6/2012

The strip thermometer on the front there is just from the tank being an aquarium previously... just to clarify. I have a dual probe thermometer sealed to the bottom of the tank on each side of the heat gradient and his UTH is monitored with a thermostat. (I don't want anyone thinking I'm being a neglectful mother :awcrap:)

You can see him chillin in his hammock on the left here taken 9/6/2012

Here he is enjoying his repti-hammock. I wasn't sure he'd actually use it and was very surprised to catch him in it. Also taken on 9/6/2012

And to catch up... Here are today's handling pictures before feeding. You can better see how his colors have gone more orange-ish after his shed last Sunday (9/2/2012) both pictures taken 9/7/2012

Since I'm still really new with corns and how their colors change as they grow... if anyone has any insight on what his colors will eventually end up being in adulthood I would be grateful.

I hope you enjoy!

Here are some more pics of my boy. He's getting so much better with handling... now he'll sit on one of his hanging plants in the corner of the tank where I open the lid and just chill until I get him out. Still jumpy when others come around and but so very calm with me. He's up to 14.5 inches in length and weighs 16g. The colors here are true to life also.

OK so Korben went into blue earlier this week. This will be his second shed since I got him but I didn't manage to get a picture of him in blue the first time. So here's a side by side comparison of Korben in blue (taken today) and normal him (true to life color, one of his most recent pictures).

I figured you guys would appreciate these pics more than my friends and family since most of them are scared to death of him

Since I had Korben out for his tank cleaning and I managed to find my digital camera... I decided to try my hand at some higher quality pics. Plus it's been about 5 months since I've posted any update pictures. I hope you enjoy them!

All the colors are true to life. I used my Panasonic DMC-FX 150 digital camera and the lighting is just an overhead light in my kitchen/dining area. He's so picky with what textures he touches it took forever to find a cloth in a decent color that didn't cause him to disappear... ended up just using a bath towel.

This one I love if only because of the glowing eyes from my kitchen light.

OH hah forgot to add... pictures were taken today (March 4, 2013). He's up to 48g.. not sure on the length since he rarely sits still. Not sure on his age.. I was told he was born late June / early July which would put him around 8 months.

Couple quick pictures I took this evening. He's up to 93g and he'll be a year old in a little over a week. He's constricting all his meals now which makes me so proud (which my boyfriend thinks is extremely weird).

I must say... everyone is right when they say these creatures are addicting. I'm wanting another snake baby but sadly, I have to wait until we get to a bigger place.
