This picture is posted on the front page of a Yahoo group called "the kingsnake pit" The owner of the group had a mascot that passed and he decided to have a photo contest to find a new mascot for the site, and he chose Dakota. So if the pic was stolen, it was from that site. It's a shame that a breeder wouldn't have a better pic of the type of snakes he's selling. oh yeah don't do it! lol i planed to do that for about 4 years i spent looking up on it what could go wrong how to do it and stuff. everyone told me not to do it and one night when i was drunk with a mate (i had a tongue piercing already at this point (fully healed) anyway yeah i was drunk and i remembered about my research on splitting a tongue and how to do it so i began to do it (you get fishing wire put it though the hole in your tongue from tongue bar and tighten it till u cant bare the pain no more then leave the fishing wire in) so yeah i did that tightend the wire each day cut the old wire out put a new one it it took me 3 weeks of pain. the pain was so bad at the end of it i cant describe it but it as to late to turn back on not splitting it. the reason for not being able to turn back was coz my tongue had swollen up so much the old wire was caught into the tongue the only way to get it out was to carry on.
pretty bad stuff anyway in the end after the 3ed week i had 1cm left to split so i got a kitchen knife and cut the rest of my tongue to make the split. the bleeding wouldn't stop but i new that this would happen. so i got a knife and heated the blade to red heat then burnt both the sides of my tongue so the bleeding stopped.
DONE wallah wanna try it? hehehe didnt think so

I'm just thinking three things about splitting one's tongue...A) try to find a professional to do it, B) if something starts to go wrong or you change your mind, there's sure to be an emergency room or doctor's office nearby and C) this is going to sound harsh but that's the sort of thing that makes Goths look bad to the rest of the world. We aren't all into piercings and such. Still, I'm relieved to know that is healed without major complications.

Which is unfair on goths and many 'modified' people, as piercings and things more extreme, and rare such as tongue splitting are a way to express themselves, rather than for people to use as a way to stereotype them. I know from my piercings and now black hair, many people would label me 'goth', which annoys and slightly offends me. Depending on what your definition of 'goth' is.

yep i agree and i got tonguesplit but i love it made sure i wouldnt wanna get it unsplit. i took a risk and i think a good one meh i new the dangers but im a kid kids dont listen. anyway wouldt other with a lazer more goes wrong with a lazer than the binding method i used plus its 48hs of unbarable pain afterwards. same with the scalpol method plus that one your tongue is not perminatly split. my tongue will grow back in time anyway unless i keep cutting it back the splits already half the sie it origanaly was.
anyway yeah a strange thing to have and i wouldnt advise doing it unless you really want it done and are sure it wont ffect your future.
btw i can speek fine eat fine do everything fine just like b4 and u cant see split tongue unless i stick tongue out. the only thing it will effect is others than know you have it done or yourself if u deside to hate it when u are older.

oh yeah btw i didnt do it just to be a goth lol i did it coz i was hevely into body art such as piercings and tattoos and modifications. oh yeah and i still am i just changed gothic appearence to get a job same reason i took all piercings out all my tattoos are out of site so that wont effect the jobs i wish to do. also none of the tattoos are offensive i didnt do them on impulse i did them after a long hard think about a ears thinking on each tattoo i always think b4 i do i dont wanna cock up my future.
