Live From Cornsnake Dinner!!!

So wish I could have heard Rich's response to the award, and Uniquesnakes, that video is the ultimate TEASE?!?!? Just a few glimpses of all the people I want to meet? Surely someone has a better LONGER video than that!? Who was the tall guy announcing "Door Prize!"?? Looks familiar..

Rebecca

Susan's son came up to collect doorprizes. She was not donating them. They were well-behaved as always.

Actually, I wanted to donate them, but the shipping costs would have been too much for anyone that wasn't "local" enough.

And Thank You Nanci for doing a great job as the CS.com Play-by-Play announcer and for complimenting my children's behavior! The young lady that was pulling the tickets out of the box that you can briefly see in UniqueSnakes' video is my daughter (who chose a lovely picture frame as her prize), and my son chose for his door prize Nanci's Lyme disease! He absolutely loves it (he keeps calling it a snake, which is fine) and hasn't let go of it since last night!

And the "mystery person" who I purchased raffle tickets for is psychoprimate84, aka Jessica, who lives not too terribly far from me, but was unable to attend the Expo. I also made a sweet purchase for her this morning from Rich's table that I will try to get a photo of and post before we can make the final delivery in a day or so.

hmm.. curious.. should we have a Dr. Bechtel's memory Award every year from now on at Daytona? Maybe select some of the innovators in our hobby?

Here's a pic from the dinner. I wasn't really carrying a bottle of wine around in a newspaper, that was the (evil) photographer's idea of "fun!"

L to R: Robbie, Tim, me, Katie, Dean, Jeff.

Now Nanci, don't blame the photographer for you being a lush. LOL j/k Really though, thanks again for the play by play. It made us that could't make it feel not so left out.

"A fun fact about Rich is his picky eating habits"

True, so true. Mike and I had to go to town today so, in honor of Rich and his award, we had lunch at "The Golden Trough"....oops....I mean Golden Corral. It actually was good and I think I know most of what I ate. :roflmao:

I LOVE those pictures!!!
Jeff is ALOT younger than I thought....
and Rich and Connie look exactly as I imagined....
and I LOVE Robbie's new haircut....
and everyone looks so happy!!!!!

I can't wait til next year!!!!!!!

That's me! On a chair... pretending to be tall...

HOME (and AWAKE) at long last!

We had to make a detour to stop at Tampa and visit Gino (Lost World Reptiles) to do our picks from some breeding loan projects we are doing together. So we arrived home at 4:30 this morning, and did NOT wake up early! Bill took some photos of the event, but he is still sleeping. I will post them whenever he gets them ready.

Tammy could not come, but DID send money for raffle tickets. So now she has to pay EVEN MORE cash for shipping a small box to her!

Are you kidding me??? I thought when Nanci said she thought you had something for me it would be a " Nener Nener Nener". With no phone call and no PM I was for sure that was it. Ok, I'm in shock now and I'm really glad you all can't see me crying.

Haha! I didn't get home until 4:30 a.m., and slept late...

And I thought Nanci kind of gave it away when I told her to tease you a little after your post about ME winning the BP, lol! You DID NOT win the mojave, but one out of two isn't bad!

I can ship Tues. for arrival on Wed., if you like.

Glad you are happy with messing with my head. :p If not a nener x3 I thought you might send me a pic of you holding the fire and that hot spider you got, you know, to rub it in a bit deeper. The female mojave would have been nice to go with our male, but it was the fire ball that I really REALLY wanted. Even when the post was made that you won, I looked at Mike and pouted "Kathy got my snake". LOL

What time would you ship out? I really need to check at work to see if I can get Wed. approved off. I could give you a call during my lunch time (11:30am to 12:15pm) and let you know if it's ok. Would that work for you?

Sure - that would be plenty of time. Just give me a call.

I think you will like her. She just hatched and is in shed yet. But she looks like she will be quite pretty.
