Longest corn on record??

It most likely could be, I thought it looked a little off from a corn myself but I assumed Bush Gardens would know what they were talking about. :/

I asked the friend about it a second ago and she confirmed the guy did say it was a corn, I guess he was mistaken...:/

He was definetly mistaken, thats a yellow rat if I've ever seen one. If by some strange aberration of design it is a corn, I know some breeders here that would be lining up to play with that new morph. LOL

Hear are a few pics of my big male
he is 8yr old
Measured him with a string following his spine
he is 5 Ft 9 in
the tank he is in is a 75g 4ft long

I know someone with a charcoal female which is at least six foot long. I've handled the snake and she really is huge. I found her quite hard to handle. She was just too big to coil on to one arm the way smaller corns generally do. I ended up having to drape her round my shoulders, round my neck, and her tail hooked round my leg :grin01:

I'm afraid I don't have the facility to measure her exactly, as I don't see her often, but I thought you might all be interested to hear!

If you can ever manage to get a direct over head shot of the snake with a ruler in the picture you can easily measure them. I used Serpent Widgets snake measuring program. Just search for it online and use that tool it is really helpful. Or take the picture and print it out on a full page and then use a string to help measure. After that just use the ruler in the picture as your guide and come up with a number, both ways are similarily accurate. I am sure others would be dying to hear more stats or see pictures of the girl!

My 2cents

Kudos to those with big corns. I have never had one get over 54 inches.
As far as measuring a snake we would hold him down the best we could, take a string form nose to tail and then carefully cut it an inch past the snake. Then of course measure the string.
One time a friend of mine and I caught a huge Ribbon Snake. We always let them go but took a stick and stretched out the snake as far as we could and put a notch in the stick.
In case you're wondering it was not a record but big nonetheless. Thirty-nine inches.

Now I am really confused. From what I have been reading here tells me my creamsicle reverse okatee is not a corn snake. The breeder I got her from said she was a cornsnake. Thats the reason I got her because corns are more docile, now I find out she is a rat snake. And all this time I thought it was PMS when she got hateful with me.

:-offtopic
But creamsicle corns are crossbreeds between rat snakes and corns. She'll calm down with handling!

I also have a Golddust (ultr mell Caramel) is this a corn or a rat snake. Now his disposition is totally opposite than hers. My husband is not scared to hold him.
