Look what I found this morning :)

My RO girl has still not laid, but she seems to be absolutely fine, so I'm leaving her in peace and only checking once every 24hrs :)

But when I did check the girls this morning, I found my Amel (Sunglow) Motley, Ruby, with 3 beautiful eggs. I left her alone and checked about 6 hours later to find 7 little beauties and she'd finished laying :)

Here's a quick pic I took of Momma laying and a pic of the eggs, which were not stuck together, before I put them in the incubator. I'm so proud of my little girl, as it's taken her 5 years to get to a size I was comfortable with for her to be mated, and I think she did really well :)

Enjoy!

Congrats! I was just going to pm you to ask about the RO. But I see we are still on maternity watch. She'll probably sneak them out when you have given up looking for them!
Keep us posted,
Terri

Maternity watch, I like it :grin01:

I've updated Angel's (my RO) thread, still nothing, but she seems ok :shrugs:

CONGRATS nice looking eggs....I can't quite see but do they have that surface feature called "snowflaking"?
Oh, and out of curiosity; What were your ideal numbers, wt., lngth, etc... before you decided to breed her?

Yes they do have a mild snowflake look to them, but I've had eggs with worse snowflakes before that have hatched out beautifully :)

Because Ruby seemed to take so long to grow, I waited for her to hit the 380g mark before deciding to breed her this year, and she's only just hit 3.5ft, at nearly 4 years old, she's my little darling. She only lost 70g after laying, so I'm glad she wasn't carrying more eggs :)

Hope that helps,
