Mayday! Mayday! Rescue

This is Mayday, an 210-220 '06 supposedly Abbott's Okeetee male. I went and picked him up today, thinking he was an '07 or '08 because the girl said he was on fuzzies. He's been on fuzzies since he's been able to fit them, so his head is tiny. I laugh at him, though it's not funny. I'm going to go get him a new tub and stuff.

So here are a few pictures of him.

And this is his tank. No water with poop in the dish... full of poop and two old sheds. His hides wouldn't fit him... It smells terrible.

Great looking snake! He doesn't appear to have suffered too bad--how often was he getting fuzzies? The borders are pretty thick, so I'd believe it was an oketee, but that is just me!

I really like his name as well, I never can think of good names!

yeah- i have someone wanting to trade me a cal king who only eats pinks and fuzzies... some just dont like to get big boy food.... looks healthy considering though... cute lil face :)

I'm not too sure how often he was getting fuzzies. She said she hadn't fed him in two weeks, so be careful because he might try to eat me. When he moves you can tell he's slightly underweight, he's got some folds where he shouldn't. He'll be better in a few months... He's going to be one happy boy.

Good call on picking up but honestly, he looks pretty good for a "mistreated animal". Isn't it at all possible you may be doing the former owner injustice?

If you had seen the condition of the cage she got with him, you would know otherwise. Dried poop everywhere, dried up water bowl with shed stuck to it as well as poop. Stunk to high heaven, etc... It was nasty. I think this guy was just surviving despite it all...

Just because the animal doesn't look near death does not mean it is not being mistreated...
