Mice bursting open....

yeah, I let my hoppers sit out for 30 minuets and then run them under HOT tap water, I have never had the mouse not be fully defrosted and I feel the WHOLE mouse before i feed them, I like to also see that the mouse's neck is plyable, and not stiff still. I then dry it off a bit in a paper towel and feed it to the snake. I haven't ever exsperienced a exploded mouse this way. :)
 
I've thawed at room temp but not overnight, that's to long to leave them out. An hour or so on the counter and then a quick hot water soak works well.

Putting them in a snack size ziplock bag and popping them in the fridge to thaw overnight works well too. Then before feeding just plop the bag in hot water for a few minutes to warm them up.

yeah, like nanci said! ^^

a min or two, their so tiny with barily any bones that they tend to defrost in minuets. lol
