Im going to have to agree with Dean, I would have to disagree with the hypo bloodred. I dont think he has enough of that solid orange coloration. As for a hypo, I can see that as a possibility but an upper keys seems to be the perfect fit IMHO.
after a bit more research im tending to agree, he hasnt got the wishbone on his head as corns generally do and he has a tendancy to hiss (not all the time ie breathing problem) just when he is un-easy, not aware corns do this (my previous ones didnt) and after looking up rat snakes this is a common trait so looks like he is a upper keys rat snake hybrid any more accuracy would be welcome
I haven't been into snakes very long, but even I recognized that his face is not a pure corn. He sure is pretty whatever he is, and I happy that he's now in a loving and caring home. Poor baby being kept in a garage, shameful! :angry01: Best of luck with him, and congratulations on your new friend.
