Mousey Babies! :]

As far as I know, their coloring genetics seem to work the same. The colors are named the same, as well. I think mice might have a little more variety.

Used to breed gerbils. Loved them, but they don't hold as still as these fellas. (Well, as they will once they're over their hopper stage. xD)

CUUUTE! Admittedly, I am not a rodent person at all. I like rats, but I'm a terrible rat mommy. But the "fancy" mice are incredibly cute! Especially love your babies... Those blazes are SO adorable!

Thought you might enjoy this. This is my little breeder male... He popped out of my spotted girl's litter a few months ago. The band around his middle is the only white on him! :) (He's also surprisingly tame, considering this is the first time I've handled him more than in and out on cleaning day in over a month... lol!)

Great pics and thread! I have noticed handling them as fuzzies makes them tamer as adults. You have some cute little meeses there.

I love snakes and rodents! My family jokes that I love snakes, think rodents are cute but spiders wig me out...go figure.

that's me exactly!!! I love reptiles and rodents (i LOVE rats) so there is no way i could do this (unless i really had no choice...) but man...if there is a spider in the same room and i see it, i'm gone lol

Thanks everyone. :]

I'm that way as well. Can't do bugs. If the species has more than four legs? No. Legless? Fine. I love snakes. Don't really like worms, but don't scream if one's in the room with me. xD

Update!:
4 of these babies are actually going to go on to breed feeder meeses of their very own! xD Someone was looking for 2 breeding pairs, and I was like "I have a litter...." xD So, yay!

I hope my friend doesn't mind only 3 adult mice for now. >.< But! That probably means I'll also be raising a couple more each litter for her, so yay! more genetics. xD

Thanks! I lurves him. I guess I'm the odd man out... I love my 8-legged freak (er, tarantula) and actually enjoy raising feeder roaches. :p

Aw, how nice that some of your babies got a pardon!

Oddly enough, I've held a couple of tarantulas. My ex's family had a couple, and I felt bad 'cause they never got any attention (many of their animals didn't, so it became a ritual to go love on everything...'cept the scorpions, but I'd at least make sure they ate and had water and weren't living on filth. xP). Got to watch them breed which was nifty. o_O Couldn't do roaches. But props to them being like....the best life-form ever. Survive anything, even their dang heads being cut off.

Lol! Luckily, the species of roach I breed (Dubias) aren't quite as bulletproof as their invasive cousins... Especially considering, when my roommate had a lizard, she would regularly let a half dozen or so nymphs escape into the house. (My roommate and I do not see eye-to-eye on many things. Hygiene and general common sense, especially regarding animals, are the big two. She has neither.)

I squeak like a girl when there's a spider in the room with me...it's embarrassing. The other day, I saw a spider crawling right above my bed. IcccccckkkkK! He didn't live long....

Awww~ She should post some! :D

Well if you insist. I am not that good at "mouse morph" names but I know there's satins, foxes, longhaired in the pics. I don't know what the silver ones are called or the reddish ones.

Thank you Taylor! Yea, it's hard once they get past pinky stage- Luckily for them the babies in the pics are being raised to be breeders. I need another colony. Interestingly I had them priced at twice the "feeder mouse" price at the last expo I vended at and every one I sold was going to be a pet or breeder. I guess it's not fair to the plain white mice out there but they sure are easier to consider as food...

Well, from my experience it is hard to find fancy mice. PetSmart here in Salem has mice at almost $9 each, only one sex and they aren't as neat as yours or Pro's.

You might want to grow out a few for the next Wilsonville show! I may be asking you to raise up a few more for me.
