My First Corn-2009 Okeetee Het Lava

He had been eating a weanling mouse every 7 days. That's why I was thinking I could back him down to a hopper every 10 or so days...

try a hopper every 2 weeks, adult corns are better on a diet every 14 days. that way they can spend more days out and about hunting in the cage. every 10 days is still too little. i feed my 6 month okeetee a fuzzy every 7 days and he's a baby.

He does look a little on the chunky side, but I wouldn't drastically cut down his food in take that much. Honestly you should keep feeding him a weanling mouse but space it out to every 14 days and exercise that poor snake!!!

I wouldn't say he's an adult... Isn't he about a year and a half?

I agree with the underlined statement. Every 14 days will be fine. Take him to the gym though, take him out every day (or as many days as you can) except for digestion days, and just let him use some of those muscles. That will help out a lot. He's not crazy fat, just a bit pudgy so no need to do any crazy measures :) good luck!

we'll i'd move his mouse intake a step down until its obvious he's lost some weight, then you can bump him back up.

not a full adult yet but this snake is obviously ready for an adult feeding cycle.

If i sit in this lazy boy, i will lose muscle and it will turn to fat, no matter how much a eat. However, if i get out and exercise, i can watch what i eat and still be tone (which i prefer ;)) lol. Getting him in a bigger viv will help a little but you really need to get him out and about, it shouldn't take much though
