Team Laura
Hey Laura, are you going to pain the rack? I think it looks nice the way it is, but you could decorate it in some interesting fashion--or maybe just seal the wood so water doesn't warp it.
Yeah, I'm going to paint it eventually. I can't do much during the week, but this weekend I'm hoping to go get some stuff to get it all set up. A friend and I are going to paint a japanese theme to go with my tattoo theme. I should say she is painting it, as she's amazing with a brush... I'm just priming and sanding, and priming...
Thanks! I got my flexwatt from animal basics, but I feel you on the larger racks being cheaper to build yourself.Nice job with the rack. I did some price comparison and found with shoebox racks after the cost of wood, tubs and heat it is really close to the cost of the ones at reptile basics but when anything bigger than shoeboxes are needed it is quite a bit cheaper to build it.
Thank you, I'll have to look into that!If you haven't already a back guard for it...get some peg board. It's cheap, light, and provides great ventilation! Great job on the rack btw!
You know it. I'm at Texas A&M. How about you?I borrowed well "borrowed" my dads drill over christmas to build my wooden viv lol. Students always think of the most frugal solutions.
Where do you study?
Thanks, PJ!Really nice rack Laura! I would seal it, jmo. We use peg board on the back of all of our racks! Makes for a good source of air flow as well.
