My first Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo was a Great Success

My first Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo was a Great Success.

Thank you all for the excellent point you gave me. I had a total of 12 unique questions that I copy and pasted to a word file and then printed out to take with me to the Expo.

I purchased two beautiful baby Corn Snakes.
A male Okeetee from (Twyla Brubaker @) Kocorns Cornsnakes. After breeding for 10 years this was her first Expo as well. Mrs. Brubaker was quite professional. Her selection of Corn Snakes was reasonably priced, the snakes appeared to be in tip-top condition, not to mention she had a nice selection to choose from. The only reason I didn’t buy two of her Snakes is because the two I feel in Love with were both from the same parents.

I would not only buy from her again I, highly recommend her. You can view her selection @ www.kocorn.com

Thanks to Kat Hexadecimal (who also had a table at the Expo) advice, I visited Sean Niland Table. He was everything she said he was. His selection was second to none even thought he didn’t have any Okeetee, I just had to purchase one of his lovely female Baby Corn Snakes.

I would not only buy from him again I, highly recommend him as well. You can view his selection @ www.vmsherp.com

Both Snakes had only eaten live Pinky’s and were quite hungry when I bought them home. I just happen to have one frozen Pinky which I thawed and split in half and they both readily accepted their share.

Once again thanks to all of you for helping me to make two wonderful purchases. I am completely satisfied with both my new Baby. :dancer: I hope to have PIC of them posted before the end of the week. It is extremely difficult for me go get good digital pictures of something so small. My old 35mm works perfect for close-up but not my Sony Digital Camera.

Congrats! What kind of corn did you get from Sean? I went to the expo earlier this year and got the most stunning motley from him.

Good luck with the little ones, cant wait for pics! :D

Thanks for the compliment!

Thank you for the kind words. The show was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed meeting people and loved looking at all the awesome reptiles there. My son also had a lot of fun, if you couldn't tell. I really do love my corns and I hope it shows. I make sure they are all eating good and healthy before I put them up for sale, which I found out last weekend that that isn't always the case for some (especially pet stores). I still have at least 100 babies that are eating good and ready to go. I am hoping to update my website soon, but am giving the babies a little recovery time from their trip before I do photo shoots and sexing. Thanks again, Smooth Earth Snake, and hopefully we will be down in Denver again in November, at least that is the plan.__Twyla Brubaker (kocorns.com)

Jenna,

Yep! Had no choice.
With two hungry Snake and one Pinky.
The previous owners didn’t want to feed them before the show which is understandable.
Using a razor blade while it was frozen made it easy.

Congrats!

..you split a pinky in half? *shudders*

Don't they sell feeders at this show? That's usually the best place to buy them, in my experience.

They had a good selection of feeders

They had a good selection of feeders.
I seen frozen but I personally didn’t see any live feeders.
What I wanted and asked for is what they didn’t have and that was Pinky.
A numbers of breeders sold baby snakes and to the best of my knowledge no one sold Pinky for them.
