My first Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo

Smooth_Earth_Snake

0.1 Okeetee; 1.0 Motley;
On Saturday August 12, 2006 I’ll be attending my first Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo at the Denver Merchandise Mart, in Denver CO.
My purpose in attending will be to purchase two baby Corn Snakes.
My favorite Corn Snakes are in the Okeetee Phase (Abbott's). I plan to be open minded and will probably choose one from what is available as well as affordable.

QUESTION:
What would you suggest I ask before purchasing my two baby Corn Snakes.
What would you consider to be my three most important questions?

I have the only suggestion you need.

Go to Kathy Love's Table, her Okeetees are stunning, while you're there Buy her Book, The Corn Snake Manual while you're there if you don't already have it ;)

Show us pics of what you get when you get back from the Expo

If I could only ask 3, I'd ask the breeder for references, feeding info (like how many times has it eaten, what it eats, how they feed it, when it last ate etc), and about the parents - origin, possible hets, ask to see pics if possible etc.
Try to choose active snakes that are curious about their surroundings and flicking their tounge a lot. Avoid ones that seem small, lethargic, skinny or listless. Take a good look at the eyes, make sure there are no kinks in the body and that the tail isn't messed up from incomplete sheds. Check carefully for mites, if the snake is infested you can sometimes see them around the eyes.
Enjoy yourself and post some pics when you get them!

Posting the same thing in multiple forums is rude, you know.

And Kathy Love won't be at the Colorado show. One need go to Daytona Beach, FL the weekend after.

Thanks for the Great suggestions. I truely appreciate your suggestions.
You also suggested that I ask for References. I'll do that but I'm not sure if I'll be able to follow up right there at the expo. :shrugs:

"One need go to Daytona Beach, FL"
I just returned from Florida last month, (The Key's, Miami, Cocoa Beach, & Orlando).
That’s where I got my current snake.
Now I'm interested in adding a pair of Corn Snake, to add to my one Florida Snake.
I don't plan to return to Florida before 2007
