My Poor Baby

Jenn I am still amazed you got that out...How in the world did you find it? How big is she? I mean my guys are so tiny, not sure I have the eyes to be able to see something like that & my won't sit still! lol
I give you.........
"Cornsnake Hot Momma of the Yr Award"
(I just had to throw in 'HOT' for ya..lol) Grt job!!
She's almost 2yrs old, though she's small for her age. She weighs just about 100g. At first I couldn't tell what was wrong with her eye - she just looked angry and then when I pulled her out I could see that the splinter was in there and that the area around the eye was a touch swollen.

As for getting it out, I wouldn't have been able to if she was flailing around. She was much calmer then usual - as if she knew I was going to help her.

Thanks for the Hot Momma award! lol... Tim got a good chuckle out of it.
what do u use if u dont use substrate?
We still use substrate, just not the sani-chips in with the bigger snakes now. We use the larger aspen shavings and paper towel (only rarely for injuries or snakes we need to monitor closely.)

Ouch!! That makes me cringe simply looking at it... poor girl!

Kudos to you for being able to get it out safely!!! :dancer:

Lisa
I don't know if she was in any actual pain, but I am certain it had to be irritating her at least. I'm very glad I was able to take it out as I really didn't want to find out how much impact it would have had during a shed.

Thanks again for the well wishes and comments everyone!

Jenn
