!!!! My Unexpected EGGS !!!!

Hey Brett, Just checking in to see if Dizzles is almost recovered and well. And how are the "Fab 5" looking? I keep forgetting to ask? Did you ever contact who Dizzles came from to see what kind of corn she was shagging with before you bought her. :)

hey tim,
dizzles seems to be doing ok at the minute. Shes just chilling, she hasnt had any more meals yet since the last small one she had but she has kept it down fine! I will give her another small mouse on.....wednesday probably.
The fab five are looking ok buti think is more probably the fab 4, lol. One of the 3 that are connected isnt looking to great but i never really thought that one would make it anyway!
I havnt found out what male was she was with. To be honest i would sooner not know, lol it makes it more exciting!

Ahh Good for you! The Mystery continues then. Hey you probably know this but if any eggs do go bad and are attached to a healthy one, it is O.K. to leave it connected. Try and separate and you will loose both. Little chance of a bad one contaminating a good one. Good luck with this clutch Brett!! I think you have a lot of followers here. :)

Aww, wow lol...what a ride its been for you both & its still going...amazing read here & I wish you both the best of luck...can't wait to see the babies...any idea of a hatch date?

xD

hey thanks a lot guys!
as allways your support means the world to me! But i think its Dizzles whos wone all the fans for the ordeal that shes gone though, lol, iv just been the frantic owner! :) i have deffinately bonded with her though, she will always be special to me after this compared to whatever other snakes i get in the future!
well i worked it out that on the 21st of April the eggs will be at 50 days, so i prosume it will be around that time. The eggs usually hach within around 50-60 days i think???
as soon as dizzles gets another meal down her i will get some pics of the little trooper!

Glad to hear Dizzles is doing well. She's quite amazing! It's really fortunate for her that she had you to care for her so well during this whole thing.

thank you so much for such a nice post! i dont think i could have got through it the same without all the help i have recieved from everyone who has been kind enough to post on this thread though!

saying that, i would like to take the chance to say thank you to everyone who has helped me and dizzles through this event!
 have a drink on me!

I think I can safely say for everyone who followed Dizzles ordeal it has been our pleasure Brett!
For sure, can't wait to see what the lil ones are...and especially to see how she fares laying next year, I'm sure things will go much smoother...the problem was probably with her being a virgin, conceiving when she was probably underweight and then having so many eggs on top of that...I'd fatten that girl up and maybe even consider giving her next year off?

Ours didn't begin pipping until like day 89 or something... we were pretty worried about them. Our temps were REALLY low though (Like in the lower 70's dropping even lower at times).

I'm sure you know, but higher temps (not too high!) mean quicker pips.

just a quick update on my babe.

shes doing great, this morning she took her second small mouse and for about the last hour shes been out exploring her tub again having a wonder round! she also had her first poo! It was very smelly and....sloppy:puke01:
shes been on a strikt no handling programme with me and i really didnt want to disturb her but i had to get that cleaned up! She didnt appreciate it and took a bite at her hide when i was putting it back in but it had to be done and it gave me the chance to get some fresh aspen in her tub!

anyway shes doin great! HIGH FIVE! lol

that's GREAT to hear, I've been waiting for an update, awesome!

i know its really good that shes eating now! she was starving this morning, she took the mouse straight away and even constricted it!
do you think i should give her a bit of a bigger mouse next time?

That is totally awesome my friend!! Glad she and you are recovering nicely lol. I would still stay with the small meals for another feeding or to. Big meals take energy to digest and you do not want to force a regurge because she hasn't the strenght to digest it. But fantastic update and I agree! High Fives all around!

thanks Tim!
ye i suppose thers no rush to get her onto larger food!
i have one more small mouse left for her so il give her that one, then i have a medium sized mouse for the meal after that one.
cant wait to get some pics of her to upload for you guys!

I hear cold showers help with that. ;) "sorry couldn't resist".

 Hurrah for Dizzles and digestion! And you're right - poor Dezmond! He's probably pacing in his viv, wondering why the lady wouldn't cooperate and now has disappeared altogether!
