My girl will burrow, but she much prefers to hide under a bit of cork bark :) Nice and flat, with nowhere she can be seen from...

You're sure you couldn't find smaller hides? All the reptile shops around here sell tiny little hides and they are very cheap. If they aren't available in shops, you can order them online.

If that fails, something else you can try is a small water bowl designed for other animals. My local pet store has very small plastic bowls designed for hamsters and mice, but there's a lip and a small cut-away section on the underneath so the snake can hide in there. Do you know what I mean? I'll try and find a picture if you don't understand, but something like that would be good in my opinion.

Fake plants can also help make a snake feel more secure. If you do keep those large hides, I like to drape some of the plant material over the entrance just for a bit more privacy.

The only other thing I would query is, how is the snake when she curls up in those hides? I only ask because they look rather bigger than she is, and snakes like to be touched on all sides when they hide - my Connor squishes in to the smallest space available to him, even when there're much bigger hiding places available to him. When it comes to corns bigger is not neccessarily better. ;)

If it's fine, then don't worry about it. I can't tell what size they are - I'm just asking in case you hadn't realised. Good tank you got there!

I agree.

I would suggest cutting the coconut hut down the center. This would make two smaller 'secure' hides for your corn. :smash: .
