HELP!
I'm having a difficult time finding a 'Track Strip'.
I'm Building my First 1/8" Acrylic Door (Cabinet) Cage for my soon to arrive Corn Snakes. This Cage will have two sliding Acrylic Doors, similar to the ones I see on the Web such as at Cages-By-Design and at many Pet Shops.
However I'm having trouble finding a 'Track Strip' for 1/8" Acrylic Doors. :sobstory:

is the glass your using 1/8 of an inch?? because if it is...then im sure you would need a track that is a total of 1/4 or more so you can fit two pieces of glass...

Have you thought of making your own using a piece of wood and a router to just router out the groove? I find that is usually the easiest way. It's cheap and you can customise the width and length quite easily.

The only thing that may concern some is the difficulty in sterilizing and cleaning wood as opposed to plastic...

Good luck
Rebecca

Track Strip for 1/8" Acrylic Door's

Thanks Rebecca for the suggestion.
I'm not set up to use the Routing that you suggested. :shrugs:
I would be concern about cleaning it over a period of time.
Although it has a lot of good points as you mention.

Two 1/8" Acrylic Doors

Thanks!
SORRY! That I was not clear about that.
The Track Strip needs to hold Two 1/8" Acrylic Doors.
So yes the strip would need to be at lease 1/4" or a little larger.
Like the Capital Letter "E" each line "-" in the letter E will add I guest about 1/16" of so.
Sorry I was not clearer.
