New Acrylic enclosure

Thankyou ChiiCorn. It took me some time and patience that I don't have, I can be a very impatient person sometimes.

Rexracer, I have a large UTH in the middle of the tank so it covers both setups and heat lights for both sides as well.
I'm designing a new viv myself, and I'm trying to figure out if I should go with an UTH and a heat lamp, or just the UTH. I'm leaning toward the UTH only because it will be a wood enclosure and it's going to have a solid top if I go that way. I'm planning on LED lighting, and I'd rather not have to make a screen covered hole in the top.

Nice work

I do have to ask though, you only have a catch at the top of each door.

I know from working with acrylic that is is flexible so surely an average sized corn is strong enough to push against the bottom of the door and flex it enough to escape.

I've had a few of you ask about that, I'm going to look at a steel catch to put at the bottom, now just to find out which hardware store has them...

Thank you for all your comments, suggestions, and concerns.
It did truely turn out better then I had originally planed but I did have to change a few things and now I know for next time different things I did that I should have done differently. But overall I'm impressed myself :D Maybe another one to build in the future (maybe) I think a nice stack could work out really well too, since my profession would definitely allow for it.

That is awesome, I think I'll make something like this for mine. :)
Where would you get the stuff needed for this? And any idea on cost?

Thank you! :D

well something that size could cost you a full sheet of 1/4" Acrylic which was about $195CDN (thank god i got some from work) and then the screening and tools were about $60, any hardware and bolts used was somewhere around $30 by the time i figured out what was needed and not. ohh and can't forget this one, the special chemical used to put the acrylic together was about $12 (and stored in a fridge to last longer).

ok... so I've kinda upgraded the cage (lock wise)
My son is getting bigger and I'm just preparing for the future so I figured if I put a lock like what we use at work for pantries and cabinets and everything (cabinet shop). That way it keeps him out of the cage and the snakes in the cage.
Here's the picture, the first picture i took (got deleted) I was just about to take the picture and right when i pressed the button all the way down, the timer clicked and the lights went out... lol...

the locks on the bottom are temporary, as I decided to put 2 locks per door, making it very safe and escape proof. But I only had 2 of the nicer locks, so tomorrow I'll grab 2 more locks, lock core and keys and it will be complete.
