I finally got Maelog from Silvergrin!!! I am so excited. I have been waiting forever for him (shipping was delayed until after the England trip). He is awesome. He is a monster, I think she was feeding him steroids! ~LOL~ And he has such a great personality. Very inquisitive, not skittish at all. Wants to check out everything. And, we think he is a hurricane mot as an added bonus.

BTW, Silvergrin is awesome to deal with! I highly recommend her :)

Without further ado, I give you Maelog the anery mot!

I got a female golddust mot ph anery from Terri that I will pair with him when they are older. She is still settling in, though, so I will take pics of her later!

Thanks, everyone. I think he is gorgeous.

Emily - he was born 5-23 . . . his is a bit older. He didn't eat at first, and then Silvergrin was gone for awhile and couldn't ship, then I was gone . . . so he is actually a little older than you would think. I've been pestering her for months for updated pics until I could get him ~LOL~

My very first corn was an anery mot, and he died unexpectedly in 2001. Maelog is my first anery since Ymir died because he was just the coolest snake and I missed him so much I couldn't bear to have another like him for awhile. Ymir seemed to really enjoy being held . . . he always came up to the top of the tank when I went by and would wrap around my throat under my shirt and sit with me for hours. I used to take him to run errands with me because he was so mellow and would just sit there. ~sighs~ So it was very hard for me to lose him.

Maelog is so spunky (in a nice way)! Constently on the go, tongue-flicking everything like crazy, checking everything out. He has such an awesome personality. I am so glad I got him. He reminds me so much of Ymir. I think it was meant to be :)

Did you notice: he has a dancing goddess image on his head!

I have what I would assume is a littler mate to this one and they do look great! Mine is het butter as well :) They do handle VERY well for being little, I actually mentioned that to Silvergrin myself. Congrats

It's good to see him in your pics - he is so handsome :) Hope to see some of the golddust mot soon, too :D And thank you for the kind words ^-^

snowman86 - yes you do have a full sibling, but from a second clutch! Yours was a bit lighter colored than this guy was.
Emily1188 - I don't recognize your username but I take it you got one from me at a show? Yes, also a younger sibling :)

Yes, the little anery female at All Animal Expo! She is great, eats like a little pig and pretty mellow for a hatchling. I'm glad I went for it after all of that waffling. Thanks again.

Yes, I remember! I'm so glad you are happy with her :D

I think of all my lady snakes, their mom is the biggest sweetheart. Maybe that's where they get their temperament from :) I try to handle the hatchlings a bit too to get them used to it.

Hehe . . . I know you are supposed to let them settle in for a few days, but he is such a neat little guy I chanced it for a quick photo shoot. He was so curious . . . the golddust mot is definitely more shy, she is not interested in checking out her box yet. She is staying curled in her tube, so I will give her a few more days before trying to get a few pics of her!

Whatever you are doing is working! He is so sweet! I think he is quickly becoming my fave (I know, I know, you shouldn't pick faves with your babies ~LOL~)

BTW, I just got back from the Portland Reptile show and I got 3 new snakes! An anery cube het hypo male and ghost mot ph stripe female from Jen @ Ghosthouse Corns, and a hypo bloodred female from Nancy @ Greasy Creek corns. Yippie!!!

I need serious, professional help . . . ~LOL~
