Hi!

My name is Ilaria, I'm 23, and I'm an Italian student in veterinary medicine.
I'm writing with a vocabulary near me, ready to be consulted, so sorry for my English!
Be patient! I will improve it!

I bought my first Elaphe (He was my first snake!) two years ago. He is an amel!
From him, I started to take several other snakes and I will never stop!
This year, I had my first Elaphe clutch, Amel x snow. The hatchlings were all beautiful (One of them is in my avatar!!), they starts immediatly to eat alone, and I'm so proud!

Now, I have in the order:
1.1 Elaphe guttata amel
1.1 Elaphe guttata snow paradox [they have 2 small red spots!]
0.1 Elaphe guttata bloodred het pewter
1.2 Elaphe guttata outcrossed bloodred het lavender/hypo

[I have also Lampropeltis hondurensis, sinaloae, nelsoni, and Python regius!]

And I'm waiting for the next expo, the NIRM (It will be in the north of Italy on october, 26), to take 1.1 blizzard 1.1 opal multihet, 1.1 ghost and 1.0 Amel cube multihet!
This is the first "foreign forum" I subscrive, and I hope to have a nice time here

Pleeease, feel You free of correct me if i'll make a mistake!
kisses,
Ilaria

Hi Ilaria, welcome. Good post for an unfamiliar language, it doesn't seem to be a problem here anyway, people usually figure out what you mean.
Congratulations on your clutch, do you have any other creatures?

Of course, I have other snakes:
Four female of Python regius, normal of course. I'm waiting for the next season to buy, probably, a co-dominant morph male.
Two Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis, female. The first, an amazing tricolor 2007, and a new entry, a tangerine 2008, both het hypo.
A male of Lampropeltis nelsoni albino and a female of Lampropeltis sinaloae. Two roamings 2007 with a strange story, without program in my snakeroom! :p

I breed also morph rats. I'm trying to diffuse fancy rats in Italy :)
I have also two persian cats, and a dog.
And my brother.. : PPP

Hello and welcome, Ilaria!! :wavey: I'm from the US, but I believe your english is better than mine!

I hope you'll post some photos of all of your animals, I'd love to see them. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time here. This is a really great forum.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll post some photos as soon as possible!

I'm gonna write into my signature i'm Italian.. and to sorry my English :p

Hello and welcome to the forum! As well as your pets, it would be lovely to see photos of the area you live in and any natural landscapes , plants and creatures found there! (A lot of us won't know Italy very well, I've never been there and seeing a member's pictures is more interesting than random web pages)

Hello Ilaria,

Your English is perfect. But like stated we are here to talk about corn snake not to "grade" English.

I would like to see some picture of the south Italy.
If I could learn how to post pictures, I would post more myself. :awcrap:

Enjoy.

Welcome! Your English is very good, and you sure do have a lot of animals! It's nice to see members join from other countries...

Thanks ^.^
Be here is nice for me too! I hope to learn new things about cornsnakes with you, and also to improve my English! In particular, those breeding typical expressions!
My future project preview, is to come in US after graduated in Veterinary Medicine, because here in Italy we haven't Masters specialized in exothic animals. Unfortunately, there are few exothic veterinarians!

It will be great if in your answer, if for moderators isn't a problem, you will quote my message correcting some word, or expression! : )
P.S: I'm in the "Land of pizza" ;)

Welcome to the forum! It is a great idea to come here and share your snakes and practice your English. Just a few issues here, in the spirit of learning, with no ill will, knowing I'm far from perfect in my own first language.

Thanks ^.^
Being here is nice for me too! I hope to learn new things about cornsnakes with you, and also to improve my English! In particular, those breeding typical expressions!
My future project previewThese words mean what you mean them to, but are not usually used like that--you might say "In the future I'm planning on..." or "A preview of my future projects are...", is to come in US after I have graduated (future perfect tense) in Veterinary Medicine, because here in Italy we haven't Masters specialized in exothic animals. Unfortunately, there are few exothic veterinarians!

It would be(future conditional) be great if in your answer, if it isn't a problem for the moderators, you wouldquote my message and correctsome word, or expression! : )

Your English is very good, but as my room mate tells me, it is no help to practice and improve if everyone tells you it is perfect. She has spent years in Russia studying the language and was always frustrated by people who would tell her that her language was perfect when she knew it still needed work!

Welcome Ilaria.

Your english is just fine. I have a working knowledge of french and german, so languages are pretty easy to fill in the gaps, if needed. But yours is fine.
In fact, it's very interesting to me to see how others use english as a second language.
(The other day I was completely stumped by an english post posted by an english-speaker. Weird.)
Anyway...great collection. Beautiful collection. You talk like you really know what you're doing. And it is neat to find out that in beautiful Italy, people raise corn snakes and have shows and expo's. Fascinating.
Enjoy yourself here. I've only been here several weeks, but people are VERY nice, AND gentle on a newbie to the morph world, like me.
Eric.

Welcome...again! ;)

This is THE place to be Ilaria! I'm happy you joined.
You'll be amazed about the amount of knowledge and all the good people around here!

:wavey:

Hello, and welcome to the site!. Your english is good, and your messages are quite clear. Believe me, their much better than most people who have lived in America for their whole live's. Just so you know, though, instead of saying "I have also" try saying "I also have", and when you say "feel you free of correct me if I'll make a mistake!." it should be pronounced "Feel free to correct me if I make a mistake!". Just trying to help. It's very cool what you are trying to do, though, because their isn't very many veteranarian's who specialize in exotic pet's. Even in America!.
I also have a Bloodred, myself. My brother just bought it for me yesterday and he/she is beautiful. I have pics posted in the photo gallery under "Reptile show beauties" or something like that, but I'll post a link if you still can't find them. The reason I don't know the gender, is that the container he was sold in didn't say and my brother didn't want the seller to hurt him/her trying to tell.
By the way, if anyone doesn't know how to post pictures, this is how. Just go to www.photobucket.com and create an account. It's free!. Then just upload your photo's from your computer, or digital camera, onto your account. Once you've successfully uploaded your pictures, their should be a page of all your uploaded pics, along with tags below each one. Find the one that say's "Copy Image" and click in the link. It should say "Copy Successful", and then you just go to the post you want to put them in and go to "Edit-Paste". I usually open 2 browsers at once so it's easier to post multiple pictures, plus it's much quicker. I hope it helps, and if you still don't understand then feel free to post again and I will be more than glad to help you get it figured out.

Welcome to the best corn snake site on the web! Your english is fine. As others have already said we will have problems decifering what you are saying.
Can't wait to see pictures of all your animals.

Benvenuto!!!

I took a semester of Italian but then decided to stick with just 3 languages instead of trying to add others so I dropped Italian.

I admire you in how adventurous you are to join this site in an unfamiliar language!!

Again, Welcome to the site and I hope to see more of you around! (and I will look forward to seeing pictures of your animals!!)

the biggest mistake was that you didnt offer to give me your collection of serpents

welcome to a great community

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I was not sure if you knew this or not, but America actually was the first country to make pizza! Everyone just assumed it was Italian. Interesting tid-bit. Lol.

Anyway's welcome to the forum! Enjoy the stay, and nice collection of snakes!
