* ..I'm sorry, but real Napoli's pizza is not that I see in movies (and I think your (States pizza!) is similiar..?). Our is not "solid", and we don't put on it all that things! :p Classic "Margherita", (first pizza invented in Naples, and much diffused) is only with tomatoes and mozzarella. You have to fold up the slices, to lift it (In movies i see that your slices are rigid!) :p
*measley: The right term is "BenvenutA". BenvenutO is for male :p
*Noe..gr: Thanks for the hint! ^______^

Thanks very much

Hello, and welcome to the site!. Your english is good, and your messages are quite clear. Believe me, their much better than most people who have lived in America for their whole live's. Just so you know, though, instead of saying "I have also" try saying "I also have", and when you say "feel you free of correct me if I'll make a mistake!." it should be pronounced "Feel free to correct me if I make a mistake!". Just trying to help. It's very cool what you are trying to do, though, because their isn't very many veteranarian's who specialize in exotic pet's. Even in America!.
I also have a Bloodred, myself. My brother just bought it for me yesterday and he/she is beautiful. I have pics posted in the photo gallery under "Reptile show beauties" or something like that, but I'll post a link if you still can't find them. The reason I don't know the gender, is that the container he was sold in didn't say and my brother didn't want the seller to hurt him/her trying to tell.
By the way, if anyone doesn't know how to post pictures, this is how. Just go to www.photobucket.com and create an account. It's free!. Then just upload your photo's from your computer, or digital camera, onto your account. Once you've successfully uploaded your pictures, their should be a page of all your uploaded pics, along with tags below each one. Find the one that say's "Copy Image" and click in the link. It should say "Copy Successful", and then you just go to the post you want to put them in and go to "Edit-Paste". I usually open 2 browsers at once so it's easier to post multiple pictures, plus it's much quicker. I hope it helps, and if you still don't understand then feel free to post again and I will be more than glad to help you get it figured out.
Thanks for the instructions regarding posting pictures. Just bought a camera Saturday, and just opened the box about 1:00am, today.

Ha ha, about the pizza. I went to Italy when I was little, (I posted a link to the photos in another thread) and it was amazing! I loved it there. The food was the best I ever tasted, and just everything was so beautiful.

Where in Italy are you?

I can only be proud of my country, if you enjoyed your travel, and I quote you about our food!! : ))

I live in Salerno, a little town not far from Naples (O Sole mio?), in the south of Italy. But I'm going to move in Bologna, 700km far from here (North Italy, much more cold! brrr!), where I will end my studies in veterinary medicine.. I'm so excited for this! :)

By the way, Ilaria, my grandfather is a naturalist/author/artist, and he speaks Italian (plus Spanish, German, and his primary language English). His name is David Carroll, and I told him about you, because he's always very interested in hearing about people from Italy, Germany, or anywhere in South America. Especially those who have in interest in reptiles, and learning english. Go figure!. Anyways, he has a website at carrollstudiogalleries.com, and he would be very interested in hearing about your story. He loves the oppurtunity to converse in Italian, so if you are interested I could give you his e-mail and you could tell him a bit about yourself, as well as ask him questions about the English language, or American Wildlife. His true passion is turtles, specifically those in the New England area, but he is always more than happy to talk about anything to do with Italian culture, language, or wildlife, and could talk to you in Italian if it's easier for you. I don't know if this is something you would be interested in, but if you are I would be more than happy to give you his e-mail. I'll keep checking in on this post, and I hope to hear from you. Thanks!.

Sorry, I got the web address wrong. It's carrollstudiogallery.com, not carrollstudiogalleries.com. Anyway, hope to hear from you soon!.

Great!
I'd like to talk with your grandfather :)
You can give him my mail, it's also my msn contact: [email protected] [it's public in my profile] take it for you too!
Ilaria :)

That's great!. His email is [email protected], and he would definitely love to talk with you. He's a genius, too, and I'm not just throwing the term out their loosely. He won the John Burroughs Award for his books on turtles, and last year he won the MacArthur Fellows award, which is only given to a maximum of 25 people worldwide, and it is a recognition of people who they consider to be "Genius's". Don't be rattled, though, because he is very down to earth. He's not like most people, when it comes to being labeled a genius, because he doesn't carry the baggage of being "eccentric" as most genius's do. He's an incredible human being, and devotes more time towards the preservation of swamps and forests, for wildlife to exist, than he ever would devote to basking in his own glory. You'll find him to be very interesting, and he will be more than happy to talk with you. I'll email him right now, and I look forward to hearing about your discussions!.

Hahaha, you are so Italian! I love it... My family is descendant of Italians from Bologna (Monghidoro). My great-grandparents went to Brazil in 1896. I too speak using my hands. :grin01:
Welcome to the forum. It's very fun and addicting here.

Bologna? I'm going to live in a little town near Bologna, named Ozzano dell'Emilia! [700 km from Salerno :( ] There, I will end my studies in Veterinary Medicine, and i'm sure i'll love that city! ^___^

Thanks for your welcome post :)

Welcome, Ilaria!!! Hope you have fun here on the forum!

I'm American-Filipino... but I believe my last name came from Italy. It is APUAN... as in the part of the Alps called the Apuan Alps.

Maybe an ancestor came from there and went to the Philippines in the 1800's or so.... Who knows??? All I know is that my last name does NOT sound Filipino. LOL.

Apuan sure isn't an Italian name :p
But Apuan alps, in Italian, are "Alpi Apuane"
Maybe your ancestor.. ^__^
Thanks for your post : ) I hope to have fun too!

Ilaria.
