new morphs scaleless cornsnakes in daytona!

I absolutely LOVE the scaleless snakes. Since I saw my first texas rat, I wanted one so badly. And shortly after that, I heard there was a scaleless corn. I'd die to get my hands on a scaleless corn one day because of all the morphs and colors and varieties!! The albino striped scaleless made me nearly fall off my chair. If I could breed scaleless ones, I doubt I could ever sell a single one. Thanks for sharing all the pics! The morphs look incredible

Well, we cut, tan, and sew the skins, the same way we make them out of the camo-wearing rednecks.

:laugh01: Carpe & Chip, many thanks for the chuckle before I go to bed after a long day! I needed that!

BDU wearing rednecks... Battle Dress Uniforms my friend. Some of the most beautiful drums I've ever heard were made out of skins. Water drums.... with each beat the water ripples and the sound is changed as it is carried along the undulating as it is carried on the edges of the water so that the sound is perpetually changing with the movement of the water.
So, for some confessions, I have actually skinned animals. I've also made musical instruments such as yuwipi rattles out of the skins of animals back in the day.

Back on topic, I got my first shed today. I was sure it would be today, and I checked in on her every 15 minutes, camera in hand. Naturally, one busy spell (I keep her at my store) and she had completely shed by the time I checked again. It was worth bugging her over though, because it was rolled up like a condom, and if I'd have let it dry, I not only would have missed my picture, the shed would have been un-savable. Anyway, I had my doubts that the belly scutes were normally formed, even having the animal in hand, but from the shed, it does appear they are. Although mine is divided down the center, like a normal corn would be past the anal plate. In fact, it appears from the shed to quarter toward the bottom of the ventrals! If (well, when) people scream hybrid, no counts are going to clear that up.
Here's one beside a normal, scaled corn:

Here's the closest-up photo I took that came out. Notice a few scattered dorsal scales and the quartering of the ventrals:

Thanks! I haven't held a snake this much since I was 12!

There are several people here in the US that have Scaleless for sale. Don Soderberg of South Mountain Reptile and Travis Whisler of Travis Whisler Reptiles (Travis has a table at Daytona this year too.) Chip, Walter Smith, Rich Hume and myself here on CS have hatched them as well.
