The food should be about 1.5 times the size of the largest part of the snakes body and leave a slightly visible lump after eating.

Oh yes that is definitely way too small. Your snake could easily take a small adult. However if you want to, go the next size up which is a hopper and feed every 5 days and then try a small mouse.

Here is a great tool to use to know when to move your snake up to the next size. It is called the Munson plan.

You need a digital scale, one that measures in grams, that way you will know what your snake weighs and what size prey to feed. Here is the one I have, it works great.
