NormalxBlizzard?

ILoveGreen

Down to 2 Corn Snakes!
I'm still I bit confused when it comes to the babies that my female Blizzard had with my male Normal in 07.
I was told they would all be Normals. What a happy suprise!

This is what she had(her first clutch ever)..
1 Snow
2 Amel
3 Amel
4 Normal
5 Anery
6 Amel
7 Amel
8 Snow
9 Anery
10Anery
11didn't make it

The 3 Anerys are all missing part of their belly pattern. #10 Anery is missing just about all his belly check besides the ones on his tail.

Does anyone know why these Anerys turned out this way? In the Morph Guide(in the back under coming attractions) there is a pic of a snake with a similar white belly and just checks on the tail. Is this anything like that? It does say there are a few stray checkers. I am also from WI so is it possible I could have bought my male/female from the same line of snakes...who knows.

Can you tell me what my adults are het? (I was told the Normal could be het Anery and amel and the Blizzard het anery?)

:)

Here is a pic of mom and dad.....

I do have pics of the other anerys bellys too.

Thanks everyone for any help or guesses :)

OK I am going to give this my best shot. If I am wrong please some one correct me.

To get what you got out of those 2 I would guess this:

Normal is Het Amel and Anery

Blizzard is Het Anery

As far as the belly pattern, I really don't know unless one happens to be het motley and its showing on the bellies. Bloodred hets some times have an effect on patterns too. Or its just a simply genetic mutation.
:shrugs:

I'm no expert but could it be possible that your blizzard is really a snow? I have a snow that was sold to me as a blizzard and looks a lot like yours. It seems that could be likely just by looking at the number of each morph hatched. If it is a blizzard, then as Becky said, those hets would make sense.

Thanks so much for your reply Jamay.
I thought about that too. But I've never seen a Snow that was pure white. I guess I will see what babies they have this year.....and next year breed her with a male that could prove she's Blizzard or Snow.
