Oh, horses. D: [yay horse stories!]

I've only fell off twice...first time was because Vash(RIP) my dog was barking and nipping at Attitude...and Attitude finally had enough and bucked me off and went chaseing after Vash...I landed on my tailbone and man did it hurt! I couldn't walk straight for almost an hour, second time i was riding Phoenix and he spotted something in the feild right next to his and attitude's pasture and spooked...he went left i went right...and ended up on the ground...i was ok but had a scratch i still have the scar from to this day

Horses are my favorite creature on earth loved them since i was to young to talk and with the chinese calender i was born in the year of the Horse so its even better...i love horses and i was born in the year of the horse

And i currently have four horses...Attitude my buckskin gelding, Phoenix my dark bay gelding, Sweety my sorrel sabino mare, and Kid my palomino colt who's Sweety's baby. Attitude is 7 this year, Phoenix is 11 this year, Sweety is 13 this year, and Kid will be 1 September 15th 2007

Wow, sorry about getting hurt. My instructor always put me back on. Once when I was 9 my horse tripped over a jump, and I fell infront of him, and he jumped over me. I fell pretty hard and was in tears, she put me right back on and said it's nothing and that I would be fine. I continued the rest of the lesson but my left shoulder was in so much pain. She found out next lesson that I broke my collarbone and felt so bad about making me ride on.

I think it's kinda interesting you don't like cantering speed horses. That's my favorite thing to do in the whole world. :)

Unfortunately the only horse story I can tell is that I'm allergic to them.

It's a recent development that has been discovered by petting horses at friend's houses and the County Fare. I'm pretty disappointed because as a kid I always wanted to go horse back ridding but my mom was too concerned that I would get hurt. I have ridden a horse once or twice down guided trails. It's so amazing! Maybe if I get a chance to ever ride again I'll wear a full body suit and put on a dusk mask. :bang:
I'm glad nothing too serious happened. Good luck with your riding!

I know a lot about horses, but what are speed horses?

I've been thrown of / fallen off horses and pony's many times but never had any serious damage from it. Worst one was when I was an adult and somehow seemed to have bruised the large muscle in my right butt... I could only stand straight and hardly sit cause I could not angle my body, it was very hot the next day (when it was at highest level of pain) and I felt completely sorry for myself. Not sure if the fact that I had gotten back on the (large) pony and made it another 15 minutes or so till the end of the lesson had been a good decision or not  I still wanted to ride that pony though; hardly anybody liked him cause he knew when riders were not paying attention and gave opportunity to surprise them with a nice series of canter, turns and bucks... I tried to not forget about that, but I'm not perfect...

Horses that are used primarily in speed events such as barrel racing, pole bending, 90 yard dash, etc
